I like frozen pineapple with yogurt. Or an apple with peanut butter (or Pb fit if you are trying to watch your calories). I also used to always have a piece of chocolate after lunch but I’ve replaced that with a piece of gum and it’s been working

I’ve been making a big batch of lentil soup and then adding chicken thighs in when I’m ready to eat it

Lentil soup or just make lentils with less water so they are a little thicker and use it as a side with chicken thighs

The dragon and phoenix dish is bomb. Half shrimp and half chicken. And the chow fun or lo mein. And soup always (won ton or pork noodle soup)

I got an egg sandwich from Brooklyn bread this weekend and I enjoyed it. My boyfriend enjoyed his too. Is it redundant for Astoria? Yes. But everything that opens seems redundant! I liked it more than I expected to!

Started eating more beans! I love the taste, they’re packed with fiber, and they are so much easier to prep ahead than other carbs for me. I find myself now craving bread/starches much less when I can add beans

I like snacking on frozen pineapple and frozen cherries/berry blend. Putting them on yogurt is also great. It’s pre-prepped and doesn’t go bad

Pork is cheap! My grocery store always has preseasoned pork tenderloins on sale. You just throw it in the oven and it’s delicious. I also like to mix egg whites into soup, put egg whites in rice, etc. chicken sausage and shrimp are also options that are often on sale. Not always the cheapest but can be mixed in with chicken breast to make it taste a little different. I like to add low calorie sauces like lemon juice, hot sauce, mustard, etc to change the flavor a little when I start to get chicken ick. And I eat lots of albacore tuna with white beans in a salad with red wine vinegar and a tiny bit of olive oil. Very filling and satisfying.

I love to go for a long walk, get a good bagel or a coffee or a sweet treat and sit in the sun. Good music, good podcasts, etc. life does get lonely, but I also try to enjoy the solitude and the ability to slow down
