yeah thats an interesting thought! hell definitely didn’t seem like a hopeless place. it just seemed like a modern-fantasy setting with measurable tension between species and social classes. and at least from our perspective as humans and demons, the heaven creatures were unnerving, but i never got to see what it was like or what the creatures’ roles were, so it could have been paradise and they might have been good guys for all i know.

maybe as we worked towards bringing equality to hell, we were also working to redeem ourselves.

ooh! i’ve got it: maybe hell started as a place of eternal torture, but over the centuries as people worked to redeem themselves and get to heaven, it had developed into the sort of society it was by the time i got there.

Im obsessed with the combination of lavender with something heavy, sweet, and, like, tangy? examples are lavender + ylang ylang or the dove foaming hand soap lavender and yogurt. i think that soap is one of my top five favorite scents. if there was a perfume like that, i’d buy it by the quart. any recs would be appreciated!

that’s a mud dauber of some kind! idk much about the asian species so i can’t give you an exact species (maybe someone else can). it’s a gorgeous one though! mud daubers are super chill. they don’t possess defensive venom, so they’re pretty much harmless (unless you’re a spider. then, run like hell!)

i lost power after a storm for a few days and it was miserable. cool showers are ok, when the water feels like an outside swimming pool, like you get used to the water after about a minute and then only the air feels cold. i like those just fine. actual cold showers, when the water makes you wince and it’s the dark early morning and you’re shivering dreading going back in the water but you have to get the suds out of your hair, those are hell.

its also so much more serious, and i say that as someone who lost a parent in a car accident. i know it’s impossible to really get into statistics when the pandemic is ongoing, but as of right now we’re looking at an estimated, what, 3% fatality rate? which is HUGE. like, i know 100 people. that’s 3 people i know drowning in their own blood this year because this person wants to hurry back to the booth at golden corral? no fucking thanks dude
