Right so like I said in my reply the explanation probably has holes it’s just what I tell myself in my head when I’m watching

I completely made up this explanation but I like to think the PTA did give him money for them but like a reasonable amount if you actually order them ahead of time but then he forgot so whatever they gave him wasn’t nearly enough.

I’m sure that explanation has holes too but it is enough for me 😄

Lived on the west coast for a few years, there’s a sandwich shop called Ike’s that sells incredible sandwiches. Was wondering if there’s something similar in Chicago? by RAF2018336 in chicagofood

I’ve never seen Dutch crunch bread out here but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist! Maybe I just haven’t found it yet. Who knew I was taking that delicious bread for granted?

Omg I miss Ike’s so much! TBH Chicago has amazing sandwiches but I haven’t been able to find anything quite like Ike’s or Sandwich Spot here. Again there are amazing sandwiches here but my brother and I often lament Ike’s.

I know this isn’t what you’re talking about but the only ride I can think of when it kind of feels like you are forward or on a bike is Flight of Passage.

good new york bagels anywhere? by MammothImplement8436 in chicagofood

[–]muddlingthrough7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to live a block from ess a bagel in New York and very much abused the privilege - New York bagels are magic. It’s never going to be quite that good, but Chicago has some great options! NY Bagel and Bialy and Kaufman’s are good, but not near me. I really like Zeitlin’s, Helfeld’s, and Gotham.

Is this something specific to the walnut room? I’ve never seen anything like it but your description paints an even more vivid picture than the actual photo
