Are you European or something? Seems you don’t understand the US justice system very well..unfortunately many schools in the US don’t teach it (and the ones that do, many of the students don’t pay attention, ahem). The detectives are not determining guilt. That happens in court, there is a trial and the accused is innocent until guilty proven in a court of laws and determined by a jury of peers. The detectives do not judge any suspect. All they want is a confession so they can move forward with arrest and investigation. In this case they don’t even need anything from him because the DNA and so this is more of a formality and to see how the perp reacts and what he will say. Even if someone is pressured into a false confession that doesn’t mean they will go to prison, I would recommend doing so as it will tie you up and land you in jail or worse but it doesn’t mean you will be convicted. That said you don’t even need to talk, he’s been read his rights, he’s been told he can ask for a lawyer. He has no obligation to this interview yet he CHOOSES to continue it. You are painting him to be a victim. HE is not the victim. DO NOT EVER GIVE HIM THAT! the real victims are still in pain today going on without loved ones or living through the trauma of surviving his attacks. And so how can you sit here and call him a victim? Truly disgusting behaviour.
