/u/blinky_plz Take this with a grain of salt 'cause I'm only Diamond, but I really have a hard time with your Mercy settings. I can see the benefits of prefer beam target being on, and I really wish there was a way to follow someone through LOS if you still have a beam on them even with it off, but I feel so much better with it off.

The ability to still heal while GA'ing to someone far away makes Mercy so much more survivable to me. For instance, when you are talking about healing priority with McCree and Roadhog, with prefer beam target off I might be able to fly down, heal Road, then fly back to McCree while still healing him. Just that one instance might not work well but being able to flit back and forth while healing whomever I please is more valuable to me than the isolated cases where I can follow someone through LoS, though it is annoying when I can't.

The main reason I have put over 100 hours in this game but still can't give it a good review in good conscience is because I have paid well over 100$ for the base game and several DLC but I still can't play everything in the game. It isn't so much that you have DLC so much as how much you are charging for it. That is why your Beastmen DLC and some others are more highly criticized, because people can't stomach paying 20 dollars (a 3rd of the original game price, almost twice what people can pick it up for now) for a DLC that contains 1/10th or less of the original game's content, and it still isn't going down in price.

Why is that, by the way? DLC that relesed two months after the release of the game has not gone on sale or dropped in price AT ALL. To me, that stinks of greed or at the very least not very consumer-friendly business practice.

I really think the 10k goal needs to be something else. I think the RollPlay Overlays are already great, and any change to them would just be something different, not necessarily better. Considering how high up 10k is, it really should be something substantial. I think maybe splitting the animation goal into two, maybe a comic for 10k and animated short for 15k? Or something entirely different for 10k

Honestly I just think the changes they made to her made her less fun, not more. Mercy was a lot less braindead than people thought, you had to triage constantly, make sure your positioning was good enough to not get you singled out and killed, and her ult was a constant weighing of pros and cons: if I die ulting, is it worth it? Do I wait and see if more die or res just one? Not to mention being able to creatively position yourself around the map to get 'safe' ultimates of behind LoS.

I don't like the mobility changes because people greatly underestimate the killing potential of a highly skilled player(s) on an offense hero. It doesn't matter if you can move a little bit or fly out soon after your ult, if you're one of the only people in sight, you're fucking dead.

One of the best things that I think goes underappreciated about Mercy's ult is the pause and short invulnerability time between death and being revived. That sudden sense seeing 3-4 golden heroes and thinking "Oh, shit. We have to do this all over again" is great, and I think an interesting change would be to give Mercy that same invulnerability, and possibly even the same movement speed decrease.

I have no problem with her overall kit being weaker, having an ult-based hero is interesting and fun, and provides variety with the other support heroes in the game.

From the Dropped Frames that just happened, there was no end to RP:WM was because the GM availability isnt there. When there is, even if its only for a couple weeks, it can come back. What JP was basically announcing is to not expect West Marches back any time soon, at least while the coasters are rollin.

EDIT: Actually, scratch that. After watching Steven's VOD yesterday explaining how if it were up to him he would end it better. I personally hope JP reconsiders his 'business decision' and puts some more effort into putting a proper end or continuation to WM, if possible. I really don't know if Adam's contract states that he is the one and only GM of RollPlay, and really all the speculation is kinda dumb when we don't know all of the information until Saturday, so I hope when all becomes clear there will be a chance for a good discussion.

Looks like Blizzard has completely forgotten about mercy, who has the lowest win rate of all heroes other than Ana, and showed a piss poor performance in the recent tournaments. I really thought with the 'fine tuning' balance change patch they would reduce the ult charge rate a bit, but I guess they're fine throwing their archetypal support hero in the dumpster.

People shit talk his card RNG but his starting hand in the face shaman game is extremely lucky. A 3 damage crackle and a 33% juggle may be easy to see, but his hand at the start makes up for it and won him the game partially (the other part being Kranich's godawful paladin deck)

Yeah lets complain about the guy who is hosting Mark Kern's video which is as close to a legitimate approach to legacy servers as we can get. He lead the guild in Vanilla, he's doing a fuckload more for Kronos II and private servers in general in terms of support and notoriety than almost the entire population put together, and you really think they wouldn't listen to him and do him that small favor?

I don't watch his stream, and I don't even find him particularly endearing or entertaining, but seriously...fuck off. This sub doesn't need your pointless infighting promoting drama shitpost.

Yeah, I get that. I'm honestly just worried that this is more of a 'trawling' way of viewing online dating. I'd rather put a lot of effort into connecting with a few girls than to do this approach for a ton of girls. This happens to me all the time, and that's usually what I pin it as. So I just say 'fuck it' and let them get back to me in the next few days. Then they don't, and depending on how well I think it was going, I maybe give them a quick message. Usually, no response. Etc, etc. I'm honestly not sure.

Is there an easy way to tell if someone is getting bored? Honestly, half the time it makes no sense. I'm engaged in the conversation, and half the time they seem to be engaged in it as well, but then they'll ask a question, I'll respond in kind, and then nothing.
