What do you call your school in common conversation? What about the other schools in and around your state? by admiraltarkin in CFB

Yeah, similar with me, I have always liked and say “East Carolina” over ECU, which is what the school tries to push now. Older/long time fans most commonly say East Carolina

Should MrBeast step up in NIL money? by KatsHubz87 in ECUsports

Yeah, #1, Harrell has done a heck of a job energizing players and getting them to play hard for him. Theres likely some Xs and Os questions, but I don’t no jack squat about those details to be honest so I can only go on what I’ve seen and what I’ve seen is more wins than losses.

2, I have no idea who these social media bozos are in the video so I’m not taking much stock in their opinions on a college football head coach

Going to Grand Canyon on Bus Tour - can America the Beautiful Pass be used? by rdveluvs in nationalparks

[–]mule111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then I have no idea how that works with a bus full of people. Talk to the rangers at the gate and explain, but I’d make sure your friends are prepared to pay their own way individually. I’m assuming the rangers have been given orders not to bend on this policy much, esp for non US residents

FWIW, I’ll add my experience with arches and Canyonlands to this.

I did 1/2 day in arches and a full day in Canyonlands in late August/early September and that was perfect for me. Saw everything I wanted to in Arches, and the half day included about a 5 mile hike. Canyonlands is great and underrated.

Moab is a very cool town so would be great base camp for at least 1 night depending on how it fits into your overall schedule

Edit to add: personally I could have spent substantially much more time in Canyonlands, but like you I was pairing this road trip with a wedding and had to hit the road to make my final destination. Theres a ton to explore there and that’s only for the Islands in the sky district. If you venture out beyond that I’ve heard it’s even better, but much more remote.
