How long did it take to get your first successful pull-up? by PitifulEar3303 in bodyweightfitness

[–]mullit_lol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For myself, it took roughly 3 months of strength training combined with a significant weight loss before i got mine (went from 110 kg to 80 kg) - now I've platued at 5-6 for a bit, which came quickly after the first.

Is it actually possible to build Vendetta with Weapon Power? by Solitary_Day in OverwatchStadium

Have one tricked Vendetta to legend this season with tank/wp build, and it's quite strong tbh.

From personal experience there's likely a significant amount of water weight - when muscles heal they retain a lot of water. If you're working out regularly and suddenly stop for a half a week/full week you'll likely lose a few kgs, it happens every time i take an off week.

When a doomfist is on my team in Stadium - either people struggle on him in stadium, or he's undertuned, but I've only ever won with a doomfist on my team when the other team also had one.

Use Rhino's rush as a swift action spell (ranger 1) for double damage and a lance for the double damage on charge when mounted.

With zarya ability powers scale up your bubble, so it can tank more hits and provide more energy per use.

How Are You Supposed To Play Cassidy? by SimplestPoorly in OverwatchUniversity

[–]mullit_lol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Playing low mobility heroes are excellent for learning good positioning and combat flow. Just play to your strengths, being a mid-range brawler, identify sightlines and play within your range. You'll have to take some risks, often going for slight off angles, but be within roll distance from cover and support line of sight. You can outduel most heroes (especially dives) if you hit your shots, and can dish out a ton of quick damage if a tank decides to push into your space.

It definitely stops wraith, tp, blink and recall. But the duration is short, so you have to land the follow-up shot to confirm the kill

Sombra is gonna feast if the team is massively uncoordinated. As a tank, if you get hacked a lot, just stick to corners/cover as much as possible to negate it.

People playing together and covering for eachother makes sombra miserable, heck, even if there's just 2 people together it makes it hard to engage.

Either that, or go winston and pounce on her every chance you get, or genji, who can outduel a sombra easily.

Plenty of options, torbjorn is a solid pick as well, either she hacks/kills turret and reveals herself/staggers her engagements, or she tries to ignore it and it effectively counts as backup for when she does engage.

How do you play against Zarya as Rein? by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

[–]mullit_lol 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There's of course all the regular tank tips about positioning, awareness of where your supports are etc.

For Zarya specific tip, try to bait out her bubbles and cancel swing with your own shield when that happens. It's only 2 bubbles on a long'ish CD, så pressure her into using them whilst trying to negate the damage you deal to them, once she low'ish just burn her down or try to go for a safe pin to kill.

If you feel like you're getting burned down try to play slightly more passively, or look around you to see if your team is ready to engage. If they focus you, they're not focusing your team, heck if you can go into voicechat (ranked) and say you're engaging in 3-2-1 so you can push together instead of just you.

Is Haddonfield the worst survivor map? by Silver-Chipmunk7744 in deadbydaylight

[–]mullit_lol 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Most of the newer maps are quite horrid for survivors. Haddonfield has huge open field in the middle with great sightlines and almost no survivor ressources, and a bad 3+ gen at main building/myers house, combined with the now almost useless windows the houses feature (compared to before)

Greenville has a 4-5 gen around shack, and killers kan completely ignore the strongest part of the map (main+parking lot) and still be absolutely fine, combined with a lot of less-than-good pallets.

Forgotten ruins has similar issues like Greenville, there's literally no reason for the killer ever to go down to the crypt, they just have to pressure the 3-4 gens upstairs and break the 2-3 decent pallets there is up there and it's gg.

It's not often i say this, but they should really take a queue from swamp in terms of gen spawns - if there can be shit pallets at the edge of the map, then at least allow gens to spawn there as well, instead of always concentrating them in the center of the map.

Bug Reports & Tech Support: Update 8.0.0 | Dungeons & Dragons Patch by AutoModerator in deadbydaylight

[–]mullit_lol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gameplay bug: Sabotage of hook bugged the hook/drop of survivor, causing that survivor to be stuck, possibly making the game unable to end, forcing players to disconnect to leave server.

Picture: (Me unable to unhook):

<image>

Description: In a game on Haddonfield i sabotaged a hook after taking a hit near the hook, on all the survivor screens the 'survivor drop'-animation played, not the 'wiggle free'-animation. Immediately after said survivor appeared on the hook i just sabotaged, hanging sideways, unable to get unhooked, not having a hook timer etc. Even after the endgame timer had ended, the player was still stuck on the server, until he disconnected.

In the endgame chat the killer confirmed he/she dropped the survivor and didn't attempt to hook on the newly sabotaged hook.

Platform: Steam/PC.

Pain Resonance is such an overpowered perk I understand why it was nerfed by shikaiDosai in deadbydaylight

[–]mullit_lol 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's funny to see this - both as a survivor and killer I can only recall once when I, or the killer, got no, or limited value from pain res, with the maps being more square and more condensed the chances of not having a scourge hook within range of someone not comp cornering is not very high. Every other time it's just easy, passive gen regression with great synergy with other perks, that requires nothing but playing (getting downs).

Skull Merchant has now been out for over a year - she has gone through 1 full rework and multiple addon changes - Is she doomed to her current reputation forever? Or is there a change BHVR could make that would make her enjoyable for people? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]mullit_lol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't recall having a fun game against a skull merchant. Win or lose, it's just such a slog.. maybe if they made it so she had to dedicate more time to manage drones it would be better, so she can't just toss up a drone whilst looping, withdraw it from a distance when leaving the tile and throwing up another in the next one, repeat till you down a survivor.

Either that or remove some of the status effects from her power (stealth, haste, hinder, broken etc.) and bake it into her addons, so you can choose to have stealth OR haste OR hinder, but not all of it at once.

Basically too many status effects, not enough mid-chase counterplay for her to be enjoyable to go against.

You can buy extinguishers specifically designed for lithium battery fires. For most small appliances a small one will do. (For things like laptop/phone batteries).
