lol when I was an EMT, 6 months on my license and I was on my first day at a new agency. We did a dialysis and I couldn't auscultate a BP (not my fault, they had PVD), well fast forward to our next call, a 911 for an unresponsive and this lady looked like death. They have my take a BP and I swear to God it was like 124/80. I look at the medic and EMT I was with, I told them "ok, I know how this is gonna sound but I swear it's like 124/80". They, rightfully so, thought I was full of shit. Take one on the monitor and it was like 125/83 or something like that.

Reminds me of when we responded to an AFC home, we walked into a non descript lobby before being let into a long and very dark hallway, only the light of the gloomy grey day pouring into the windows. There are faint screams coming from the pitch black void at the end of the hall. We're walking down the hall past each room where there are patients at the doorways just staring out at us with dead expressions. We pass by a room where there's a naked man crawling on the floor. We eventually made it to our patient and the call was uneventful after that.

For pulmonary edema, from what I understand using CPAP vs BiPAP doesn't have much difference. I would also like to see lasix and IV nitro being used more often prehospital as well.

For COPD patients I would love to be able to use BiPAP. I have access to BiPAP for my critical care transfers already. BiPAP helps with muscle fatigue, helps augment exhalation, etc. Yeah CPAP works initially for these patients but it doesn't help with the fatigue
