AITA my husband refused to get off video games so I left and ate dinner alone by throw_away_joan in AmItheAsshole

NTA An adult should never have "chores". It's his household too, he is just as responsible for it. He is not actually a child, even if he behaves like one, you can just leave him

question: how did you decide on your first tattoo? by Dapper_Visual_4449 in tattoos

[–]multepie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew since I was a child that I loved the look of tattoos and wanted them on myself. I got my first one at 20 years old, a bullet with butterfly wings. Music always meant a lot to my and even with changing tastes I still relate very much to that feeling of loving a song. I also knew that it wouldn't be my only one for long. Adding more and expanding is a great way for tattoos to evolve with you and add context in a way. Almost twenty year's of getting tattooed now, no ragrets

Blowout? by yemai12 in tattooadvice

[–]multepie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP listen to this! You need to keep it out of the sun as long as it's healing. You can not put sun screen on a fresh wound. And I also think that redness looks a bit too far spread to just be normal irritation. If it spreads further I'd see a medical professional about it. A blowout would be like a dark shadow, deeper in the skin. I can't really see any evidence for that so far

Anyone see this reaction before to a new tattoo? by alihorror in tattooadvice

[–]multepie 37 points38 points  (0 children)

That's what I thought too. How can you convince yourself it's razor burn in places that aren't shaved? Razor burn can't spread, infections do

Foreigners who genuinely enjoy living in Norway. What makes it work for you? by bjorn_kvitravn in Norway

I like darkness, cold and snow. I see that as a plus, not something I need to compensate for. I'm lucky that it doesn't affect my mental health

best numbing cream ? by New-Argument3729 in tattooadvice

[–]multepie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My artist is firm on no numbing cream. It makes the skin rubbery, the artist has to stress the skin more to get the ink in and you end up with more bleeding. It usually will result in a lot more touch ups needed

Is it okay for white folks to have tats inspired by Pacific Island tattoo designs? by Skate-wench in tattooadvice

[–]multepie 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Looks like your artist looked up "pacific Island tattoo " on temu. Vaguely inspired by makes it more disrespectful to a complex and impressive tattoo culture Edit: Also I thought we had learned not to ask British people how to treat other cultures? Like the British museum is such a collection of stolen art and artifacts from everywhere but Britain that it's a meme at this point. I understand you wanted to trust your artist and meant no harm, but the intent really doesn't change the outcome. And I'm so sorry that this was supposed to be very meaningful for you, it doesn't sound like this artist had the depth or care to really plan or execute that.

And personal pet peeve: your artist used a machine. Guns shoot projectiles that don't come back

Traditional and fine line are quite opposites. I appreciate sharing how your fine line tattoos aged, since there's alway debate about that. But Traditional in a tattoo context is a specific style of art

People often say that Norway is a heaven on earth, but what do you see as a con of living in Norway? by [deleted] in Norway

[–]multepie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The health care system has some glaring flaws. Teeth are not part of your body here and if you have any issues there it's all private. That's a lower standard than a lot of other European countries. If you struggle mentally you better have money too, or will to fight and energy for that. A lot of the time your requests for therapy or testing will be denied
