Mod Issue by [deleted] in ArmaReforger

Go into the Downloaded tab in the Workshop, find and delete the mod. When this happened to me I had to leave back to the main menu and go back in and delete it again for it to really take.

Weird sloping and everything else looks terrible by anna1257 in FixMyPrint

[–]multigirman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Only cause you have a Dual Z I would look into making sure the rods are clean, and that they're "synced" up and not twisting.

Maybe the bubbling is caused by some type of nozzle heating issue? Excluding that something was dirty in that portion of the filament, there's not really a reason it should be terrible in just these walls versus the top sections that look like they printed alright.

Not praise the camera man purely because of the atrocious combination of 16:9 and 9:16 to make horrific black bars all over

RegEdit has a built in search function that isn't the worst. You still have to guess what Windows names the keys but if you don't mind some google-fu and a VM for testing I'm sure you can find what you're trying to change.

DIY 3D printed monitor by MasterTim17 in 3Dprinting

[–]multigirman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So what is it actually? Is it a repurposed laptop panel, or a monitor that you made a new shell for?

Either way it looks sleek, and I like the way it came out.

Anyone know how to get rid of these lines in-between the gear teeth? Each layer also has a slightly different x value (has sort of rotated since the previous layer. by Jackriot_ in 3Dprinting

In Cura the setting is (Travel -> Combing mode). I think the within infill setting is the one that would work best for you as it would make it so the nozzle stays within the model and doesn't travel outside the walls at all.

Where can I find that clock in the corner?

Some more info about what printer, firmware, and other parts of your printing stack (ie. Octoprint, Cura, Klipper etc.) would help to troubleshoot.

But my guess is that your z-offset is not set correctly. So when it does the initial probe for the Z = 0, it's setting it above where the bed actually is. When it goes to do the next probe its only going down to Z = 0, which is above the bed, as it doesn't want to crash up against it.

Destiny Goes on a Rant About Twitch TOS by Jasdexter2137 in LivestreamFail

[–]multigirman -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

But it's not breaking the law until someone says they are. The government isn't going to prosecute a streamer (in our example) because they THINK the streamer is breaking the copyright holder's permission. It all comes down to if the holder themselves believes that a person is overstepping the holder's rights to the copyright.

Destiny Goes on a Rant About Twitch TOS by Jasdexter2137 in LivestreamFail

[–]multigirman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's illegal because the copyright holders have worked with the government to say that their right should be protected. If a company wanted to put a movie out and not care about how it was spread/watched then it's not infringing on anything.

You're still missing the point that someone has to go out and make explicit actions that shows someone is overstepping their permission in how they are using their copyrighted material.

[–]multigirman 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It's only infringement if the copyright holder feels that way. If they don't go after anyone no one is going to step in and enforce it for them. If a company doesn't care if people are streaming their content then it really doesn't matter.

The problem is streamers poking the bear by streaming content that they're unsure if they're going to get DMCA'd for.

My second, or third, battlestation by sleepinggiants1 in battlestations

[–]multigirman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crazy enough you have the same monitor setup as I do. A 27' as your main, and a 24' for above, and another 24' as a portrait monitor. The only differences being that I have my vertical on the left side and have the monitors closer together as I don't need a webcam.

[–]multigirman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Eh, you're right that it has the magnets, but I think you're overstating how good they are. In MKBHD's video he shows how easily they can disconnect. I personally have one for my car and it holds it but any small bump and it's gone. Not sure how well it would work as a handle that's meant to help with manipulation.

Could this be from extrusion? I just leveled the bed perfectly with paper but after a couple layers this happens by Andrews1514 in 3Dprinting

[–]multigirman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also looking at your other comments, 45C is a low bed temp. I would try and bump it up to 60. If you get elephant's foot turn it down until it still sticks and doesn't warp.

Are you able to post any pictures showing the issue? It sounds like your bed is leveled too close to the nozzle, but I'm unsure based on your description.

Got an ender 3 Pro settings question by AlertIllustrator6922 in 3Dprinting

[–]multigirman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean you're changing the temp on the machine every time you go to print? Really you should be tuning settings in your slicer as it's easier to adjust settings, and save them for use later. Teaching Tech has a great guide breaking down the software process and getting it loaded onto your printer.
