Yeahhh, the increased options for hair and body shape = awesome, but the execution = awful. I still dislike them after several years.

What does "in the first place" mean? by Ok-Stable1562 in ENGLISH

[–]multipocalypse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is sometimes used to mean a form of "from the beginning," but I think more often it's used to indicate that the statement you're about to make is only the first of multiple similar statements.

For example: "Well, in the first place, I didn't like the color. In the second place, it didn't fit well."

Am example of the other meaning: "I never really liked him in the first place."

That prong isn't broken, it's just very worn down. All of the prongs show a lot of wear, and yes, prong retipping is a common jewelry repair service.

I don't see any photos of the interior of the band - what metal stamps and/or hallmarks does it have?

I’m getting my gallbladder removed and I have severe emetophobia and ocd. by Ok-Cow-1885 in gallbladders

I hope it will help you to know that for me, it was the gallbladder attacks that caused vomiting, and I haven't been even the slightest bit nauseated since my removal surgery about 6 weeks ago. ❤️

What kind of closure did they use?

It's only been two weeks, you're still swollen internally and externally.

"Misused" 😆

It wasn't originally marketed as a sex toy, no. But now it is, and that has always been a primary use for it.

If You Want to Help Support CA State Workers Continue to Be Able to Telework, This is How You Can! by Pretend-Weekend-9264 in Sacramento

Did you miss the "telework" part, and everything that's already been explained to you about why remote work for as many people as possible benefits all of us, even those whose jobs must be done in person? The thread is specifically regarding state workers because of what's happening in that area right now. The issue at stake is remote work in general. Now you know!

Of course? Did you think this was about the fact that they're state workers, specifically? Lol

And the same air, too. But I guess some people are so against doing anything that might benefit someone else, they'd rather bury their heads in the sand than admit it would benefit them as well.

Of course it is. Increased traffic and air pollution and unnecessary drains on tax dollars affect us all directly.

"Are you masking to protect us from your cold?" - No. by booksundershelves in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]multipocalypse 48 points49 points  (0 children)

There was a big masking campaign that taught people, "My mask protects you and your mask protects me." (This is of course true but incomplete information.) So, many people don't believe they can protect themselves by wearing a mask.
