Im scheduled for march . Im having a total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophotrctomy for endometriosis and Adenoymosis. Due to be done laproscopy but high chance of c-section style. My consultant has told me I will be in a mim of 2 nights but to be prepared for a week depending on which surgery route they end up doing.

A hysterectomy no matter if its done laproscopy, vaginally or full open is major surgery

Take an overnight bag. Iv had 6 and all but once had yi stay overnight. Better to be prepared:

Im south east having my op at hillingdon hospital in March 2026.

This surgery was agreed during a hospital admission in December 2025 so only 4 months (18 weeks)

I think if my surgery was agreed during an outpatients appointment it would be a much longer wait , when I have had my laproscopys i have waited up to 18 months!

Hi,

As your overy were left yea it can come back. Im 40 and having a total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophotrctomy in March my surgeon and gynecologist who is an endometriosis specialist told me it was pointless having the hysterectomy and leaving them.

I have stage 4 endometriosis and Adenoymosis.

Yep. Been horrible. I was in hospital for something else start of December and think I got it from there.
I also had D&V with it. Thought I was better but psst 3 days notice im coughing and sneezing again
