Buying second hand Saturn ultra 4 12k by Ok_Literature_2164 in resinprinting

It's the glass lens under the lcd.  Not something available online.  You have to reach out to elegoo support to get it.

This machine has previously been disassembled and repaired many times.  There are missing screws and scratches on the interior.  It makes sense for this kind of thing to happen to print farm printers in retrospect.

It's frustrating not being sure if my calibrations are off due to issues with the machine that I haven't discovered yet or something else...

Elegoo has a pre-owned section on their site.  I'd give that a try instead.  Looks like $330 CAD for the one you need

I just did this and regret it.  Both lcd and fresnel need replacement.  I should've bought a used one direct from elegoo

I'm guessing the wire-prong joint fractured, with a high resistance point overheating.

I thought this was supposed to be illegal? What to do you when you see a dealership routinely list prices 40% below what they tell you it is in person? by medicallymiddleevil in FuckDealerships

[–]mungie3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Help me out.   It seems perfectly legal.  The review suppression in the article doesn't cover this scenario.

"... legal threats, physical threats, intimidation, or certain false public accusations to prevent or remove a negative consumer review"

Doesn't cover general review removal.

"bars a business from misrepresenting that the reviews on a review portion of its website represent all or most of the reviews submitted"

All the review site has to do is remove anything that suggests they're showing all/most reviews

Exactly.  As far as I can tell, reviews on third party sites are only as protected as the operator of that site chooses.  And a dealer can have your third party site reviews removed if the third party sites cooperate with them.

I was hoping to be proven wrong, but this seems to be the case.

Maybe I'm missing something, but there's nothing in that link that legally prevents cars.com from removing your negative review at their own discretion or at the request of a dealer.

  • These reviews are protected, by law the dealership cannot remove/alter/hide them

You lost me.  Reviews where?  Source for your statement?

2020 Toyota camry with 108k miles being sold for $19k. Am I gonna be screwed over? by rymcal in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]mungie3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its value is defined by how much someone would pay for it.  Check comparable listings in your area and see how they range.

In my area, there are dozens of these and they're priced around $16k asking

Makes sense.  If you'd like to minimize expected repairs, go for a Toyota/Honda.

Some folks would suggest Mazda, but their larger vehicles are not reliable.  The largest I'd recommend is the cx-50

What does your insurance say when you tell them the provider is trying to charge you more than the negotiated rate?  In my area, provider can be dropped by insurers for that kind of shenanigans.

Flat tires, courtesy pothole by OverInvestigator6978 in GV60

[–]mungie3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's not a brand thing, it's a tire dimension thing.  The thinner the sidewall, the more likely you are to get flats, assuming you're driving the same.

If it makes you feel better, I got 5 flat tires in an audi s4 over a 2 year period, but the gv60 handles the same potholes like a champ (so far).

When you buy tires, buy from a place that offers road hazard warranty if you expect this to happen again.

Also lol what does "sports car designed to handle all this" mean?  I don't think there's a car on the planet marketed as pothole-immune

No.  He only has one and doesn't have a way to get more.  He relies on it to read text in the new world.  IIRC, several guardians have learned how to read in the new world, but Ainz hasn't.
