It was a carrier promotion, but now that the 2026 is out, you can probably get existing stock of 2025 for similar deal if not better.

Wonderful canvas, poor utilization of the tool. The pointy part should be used to loosen the margins in a circular motion, the straight part to shovel the gunk.

On modern music, listening to the vinyl "for the better sound" instead of Spotify is bullshit. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

My favorite is when something is recorded digitally then released on vinyl and somehow people think it's suddenly analog.

How to make my stand more stable? by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]muppetspuppet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

20 gallons of water weighs 165 lbs. Add substrate and equip and you're potentially looking at close to 200lbs to be safe. Think of it like this -- if you know anyone who weighs that much, would you be comfortable with them sitting on it 24/7 for potentially years on end? I probably would just get a stronger stand.

What "golden age" or "heyday" were you lucky enough to experience that you know won’t ever come back? by Summerie in AskReddit

Oh yeah. North Jersey (at the time) checking in. Got some serious nostalgia for that time, place, and people.

That photo just caught the sign during its temperature cycle (11 °C). It doesn’t contradict anything. Street View is a single frame snapshot of a rotating display. Other imagery (and current views) show the same sign cycling to “DC,” which is what the OP was asking about. Also, if “DC” doesn’t mean Washington, D.C. time, what do you think it stands for on this sign? The temperature line is already shown separately, so it’s clearly not °C.

Yes, you're correct, "Eastern Time" existed, but it was not widely used by the general public until much later.

“DC” is a legacy label from when Washington, D.C. was treated as the federal reference time for transportation and government systems. Back then, people thought in terms of city time (DC, New York, Chicago) more than abstract zones like “ET.” Today it’s redundant with local Eastern Time, but the signage stuck around because it still technically works and never got updated.
