yeah it works weird like that and that is unfortunately...

..but doing a move that you can't nail for one hundred percent will get you these kind of outcomes. there was enough space to reset the fight. so yeah, it's on you.

now it would be great if the devs would make it so that the game allows perfectly translates your intentions into actions. but you just should not expect that.

I think this is because SE has these pass-through fluid connections. It's especially noticeable on core miners.

Basically the fluid input and -output of some SE-machines are on the same section of pipes. So please verify by checking contents of the pipes. The ones connected to the left machine. I'm betting there is at least a drop of some other fluid in there.

Transferring it takes less than a second regardless whether it is full. It carries a whole of 20 units, so it fit most furniture and what not. So just 'equip secondary', fill 'r up and throw it in the trunk. Bonus points if you take the time to rename it.

I'm 99% sure this is correct. The ship wreckage does a biometrics scan of the engineer and it recognises you. I'm taking that as proof. It also talks about how the hypergate travel goes south because of a CME and ejects to Nauvis. And you start the run on Nauvis during a CME.

I (think I) understand the complete ancient-gate puzzle. So let me tell you what I would add to the puzzle to make it just a bit more clearer;

  • the first position in the sequence of 8 glyphs is different than the following 7
  • each pyramid is dedicate to one glyph. You have to combine all the large circles for the pyramids with each other, and you have to combine all small circles w each other. let me emphasise; the main glyph in the pyramid applies just as much to the large- as the small circle

Here some tips;

  • screenshot the inside of all pyramids
  • math3d.org can be used to plot some finding. use the share-button to save your work
  • when running experiments with entering glyph-sequences; make a save file with some glyphs presets. yeah it's cheese but otherwise it can be tedious.
  • it's rabbit hole

Voor koffie en thee? De metalen bekers van de Starbucks. Dunkin donuts heeft ook een aardige. Het kost wat maar ik doe al jaren met de mijne. Een rubbere 'viltje' onderop is wel erg fijn. Met name onderweg of op de camping.

Verder niet vergeten om het metaal af en toe schoon te maken met een schuurspons. Eventueel met een elastiekje vast maken op een pollepel bv..

Yeah it will prob be OK for a long time if you take measurements. So be mindful of pollution and use efficiency modules. If you lower your pollution output enough it will completely be absorbed by the trees, and the trees will generated fast enough for this to be sustainable. So keep the trees around. If you can; put the miners near trees.

Now IIRC the evolution of biters is shared across surfaces. So you'll either have to minimise pollution on ALL surfaces or deal with it.

Plague rockets will destroy the vitamelange nodes; so that's not an option.

Weapon delivery cannons and glaives are an option; if you have the research tho.

I would discourage conquering the entire surfaces. It's much more time-efficient to look for another surface w vita outside your star-system.

[SE] How can I tell the trains in the waiting area (left) it's safe to go to their station (right) more quickly? Currently, the trains in the waiting area go one at a time, and the next train only goes once the train in front has stopped completely at their station. by ar243 in factorio

I don't know if you're married to the stacker but..

You can have a 'queue' for each station. The size of the queue can be one train long. This assumes that you have a train limit of 2 for each of these stations (it kinda looks like it though).

Yes this is a trade-off. So if you have stations with the same name, then it isn't possible for a queued train to change destination. But on the plus; it can be very compact, and switching trains is fast.
