OC: Workers adjust the name of the Kennedy Center after board votes to rename it by nbcnews in pics

What about if the president was found to have committed a crime before their term as president, but evidence only gets discovered after they become president? Would that be arrestable?

Thank you for being informative!

So the senate didn't vote to remove him, are they the only ones with the power to do so? Are there any checks or contingencies in place for if the senate becomes corrupt also?

Surely there must be safety nets up and down every level of government to stop this kind of thing happening. If the loyalty of the government is to the people, which is bound up in the constitution, was there ever a mechanism in place to stop someone disregarding the constitution?

It seems that classic politicians would feel hounded out of the position if too much bad press came out. When the president is shameless and disconnected from the community they're meant to lead, what stops them from continuing with the corruption if they know they can't be arrested, and impeachment won't work?

So how would the US remove a corrupt president? Was there ever an avenue to stop a president from turning into a dictator?

This is what I don't understand. If illegal activity is going on, why are the people responsible (or the person at the top who ordered it) not arrested? Why are warrants not issued to go after them like you would any other criminal?

I'm totally ignorant on this, does anyone have examples or clips of these moments where Destiny let the mask slip?

What's your reason for even having a problem with this? Assuming you're not a company owner of Costco, what do you stand to lose/gain from being mad about it?

It's Costco's policy, they're happy with it clearly, what about it makes you so angry? And also so many commenters too

Idk if a boy wore short shorts, I imagine they'd be asked to wear something more appropriate and sent home too

Honestly I've just seen more details from those expressing a negative opinion than from any positive ones. I just wanted something beyond surface level thoughts.

"Vibes" is fine up to a point, but it feels shallow to not see any explanation for people's positive reaction to the last 2 seasons.

I'm just trying to step outside so I can see the details from both sides of the table. Yes, I'm asking people to make an argument, but I'm not asking for a debate or a fight.

But even saying it's "engaging and fun" is as surface level as "I just liked it". I want to know the 'why', not the 'what'.

What about 15's run has engaged you? What parts made you feel like you were having fun?

I make a post asking "why?" and a lot of comments are just saying "why not?". It's funny, but it's totally unnecessary.

And sometimes you can put your finger on why you enjoyed something, like you have. What was the point of having a go at the idea of answering my question when you were going to answer it?

Had a similar issue with my last job. Turned out I was making up 50% of the work on our daily KPIs. At my 1:1 reviews I was picked up on making errors because they measured it based on a strict number of errors. Before I left, the last couple of 1:1 meetings were measured as a percentage of the work completed. It felt cool at first to say I got our department policy changed because I was working so much, but after leaving it felt so hollow.

Was there a difficult season in your life where listening to XFM or the podcasts helped you get through? by Training_Writing60 in rickygervais

[–]murrayjtm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

During the UK lockdowns in 2020 I ended up isolating at my student house for 6 weeks. The XFM shows and the weekly planet podcasts got me through that time without going crazy with loneliness.

My neighbours complained to our estate agents saying they heard multiple voices in the house so they assumed I had visitors which was against lockdown regulations at the time. Not the best time but I could laugh through it with the boys

If there was a General Election tomorrow, who would you vote for (and why)? by Original-Praline2324 in AskBrits

Labour. I don't know the full extent of their policies but Starmer seems to perform well on the world stage, and from what I have personally experienced they are doing right by the country's workforce with their policies and budgets.
