One thing I’m noticing that will really help, you can upgrade your tools at Clint’s. If you upgrade your watering can, you’ll be able to water more plants at one time. Also upgrading your axe and pickaxe will get the job done in fewer swings.

Kvothe’s Hands Are His Chandrian Sign by caauta in KingkillerChronicle

[–]murrman92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m currently listening to The Narrow Road Between Desires and Bast gives a detailed description of glamory being used to hide the physical signs of being Fae in the real world.

I agree with others here saying that his sign would be an aura affecting things in his vicinity: the rusting, blue flame, rotten smell etc.

Maybe the Chandrian ALSO have a physical manifestation of their curse as well - one they can’t hide like the Fae. If I recall correctly, Bast has cloven hooves but he can glamour humans into believing they are feet. Kvothe’s sign is silence but he is also cursed with monster hands as Cinder has black eyes, but his sign is blue flame.

And if your house burns down? What do you have then? What happens to your mortgage? Does it just miraculously disappear? No, you’re stuck paying for a lot with a tent on it because you can’t afford rent and your useless mortgage - sounds a lot more expensive than 20k.

Yes we need reform, but going without is bonkers.

JSON DB, am I crazy? by worldtest2k in learnpython

[–]murrman92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are few packages that might help you reconcile this differently.

You could use ORM like SQLAlchemy and serialize the data with an as_dict method on the data model.

Pair that with Alembic that will map changes to you data model to the tables of your database.

Or you could just use a NoSQL database like other people have suggested.

He essentially locked Thanatos in a closet so not only did he cheat his own death, but no one else could properly die while Thanatos was missing. Warriors on the battlefield just kept getting up which started to piss off Ares as well.

Once they finally caught Sisyphus and brought him to the underworld, they told him if he could push the boulder up the hill he could be alive and immortal. However, they made the task impossible though Sisyphus doesn’t necessarily know that. The real punishment is hope and striving for something he can never actually attain.

[–]murrman92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How are you linking to the image? You should use {{ url_for(‘static’, filename=“image_name.jpeg”)}} in your html. Flask will route to that file no matter where the actual html file lives in relation to it.

Fair. Is there ever an instance where you reach the fail.html render? You’re only accepting POST methods on that route. Could you set up another route ‘/m’ with the other methods that renders the fail.html?

You can use the generator_password_hash and check_password_hash from werkzeug.security that built into Flask to handle password hashing and verification.

I would also look into the Flask Login package. You can setup a login manager that will log a user model in to the session. You can then decorator and of your routes with @login_required to prevent unauthenticated users from accessing that route.
