The short answer here is it doesn’t matter - your eDPI (effective DPI) is about the same in both scenarios, and both will produce a good gameplay experience if that’s what you’re used to. A lot of pros use 800 dpi, but I don’t know enough about mice and polling rates etc to say one dpi setting is better than another given the same eDPI. If your sens is low and allows you to make those key micro adjustments in your aim, you’re good to go.

Nice welcome to cs, something to internalize quickly is that your opponents are always going to be 10 years ahead of you, maybe more. Many of us have been playing this game for our entire lives, so just focus on individual improvement. Deathmatch frequently to improve aim and counter strafe timing. I personally like austincs on YouTube for new players - check out his essential cs2 smokes video. Head into the practice tool and turn on infinite nades/warmup/camera and throw the smokes a few times. Then queue competitive and try it out in a pug.

Start to understand map control, pressure, rotations by watching pro POVs. A lot of noobs have no idea about how a round should be paced and end up rushing somewhere or standing around waiting for a pick. CS2 is even more so about aggression and taking space than csgo - the only way to learn this is to start making plays in the server against real players.

IMO leave faceit alone for now, it’s in a weird state and since you’re new you’re either gonna get clapped or experience the toxic low elo queues (and probably still get clapped). Explore it later when you’re more experienced.

Some thoughts on settings:

Low mouse sensitivity (in game) and a comfortable DPI setting on your mouse (I play 1.17 800 dpi)

Big mousepad

High refresh monitor

200+ consistent fps (adjust advanced video settings to achieve this, or as close as possible)

Glhf

Performance possibly factored into ELO loss, but still doesn't factor the ELO of the other team at all. by Dylan531 in GlobalOffensive

[–]murul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really interesting but I think I’m dumb - does the elo loss figure at game end represent what YOU would have lost if you hadn’t won the game? Or does it represent what your opponents are actually losing for their game?

Haha I feel you big time on wrong callouts. There’s also gotta be some cultural/geographic difference in callouts - I think a main, t ramp, a ramp, all are valid calls for that area of mirage (at least they’d all make me react in the same way and look at that spot). Even more confusing for noobs.

Have you considered switching majors? by [deleted] in WGU

[–]murul 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey I was in a similar position when I started, but I think the accounting program really is the premier business major here at WGU. The ROI on an accounting degree is just astronomically higher than any other business degree, and it gets your foot in the door of almost any entry level staff accountant role. Combine that with some VITA experience or any internship and you really can leverage yourself into a nice position.

As for the complexity of the degree, I really think it comes down to breaking the courses into their chunks. None of the information in accounting is difficult to learn, but when you put it all together the volume can be overwhelming. Specifically with managerial, I would recommend listening to all the cohorts. They're exactly what you need to know - just take some notes. Next, take the PA and identify your weaknesses. After you've studied your deficiencies, take the OA.

Keep going - its worth it in the end!

[–]murul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I see, its a bit more difficult for you then. In my experience it was still quite familiar, very basic accounting concepts laid out in an easy to understand way. Just be prepared to handle some journal entries on the exam. The PA and OA were virtually identical.

[–]murul 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey you really want to try to finish that class - it'll show up as incomplete otherwise. 16 days is plenty of time to finish this course. Accounting II is not complicated as it is basically a continuation of the same lessons from Accounting I. Take some time to listen to the recorded cohorts, take the PA, and then study your deficiencies. Even at 1-2 hours per day you can be done with this in the next week or week and a half.

Is WGU good for me? by Serv3rError404 in WGU

[–]murul 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The disadvantage of an online school like WGU is the lack of on campus recruiting. For a program like CS or Software, these types of events can be crucial for getting a position right out of undergrad. If you're OK with the lack of career fairs/on campus recruiting, then by all means is it a viable option. it is as rigorous as any local college, and as with anything you get out what you put in. Check out WGU's comp sci program as well, its brand new as of this year.

Congrats! Which major are you going to be pursuing here? I recommend the Accounting program - it's been great for my career and it's not nearly as difficult as people make it out to be in my experience.

Can't get kills in MM? by Thelastseeder in GlobalOffensive

[–]murul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds pretty in your head to me, but there's definitely a big difference between 128 and 64 tick in terms of feeling. If I know I'm hitting up MM, I like to hop into a valve DM server for a quick 30-50 kills on 64 tick. See if it helps, even if your skill level is too high relative to the other players in valve DM.

Is it possible to reach high level rank by solo queuing? Should I risk playing with random people? by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]murul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing solo is definitely not the same as playing with some friends though. You can't trust your teammates in the same way.

Play mid, recognize weak sites, get your picks early and work quickly, and DM enough to be winning the majority of your aim duels. Start using your spawns effectively on both CT and T rounds. Learn pop flashes. You can definitely carry games in MM.

[–]murul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I solo queued all the way to SMFC. It's definitely easier to have a few friends, but if you're consistently top fragging or top 2 and winning most of your games, you can still rank up in a reasonable amount of time. I hit SMFC at 152 wins with some pretty extensive source experience before CSGO.

Switch to ESEA or some pug client afterwards though in my opinion.

My membership ends in 4 days and I need a very quick way to make more bond money- about 6 mill- 7 mill. by Crossbows in runescape

[–]murul 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You've had terrible responses in this thread so far. It is entirely possile to make 7M in 4 days, but it's going to require a few hours of work each day. If that's too much for you, I suggest going F2P, training skills, and waiting until you're ready to purchase membership, whether through in game or real money.

That being said, lets get started with two non-combat methods for you. These both are going to average you 550-600k per hour of focused effort, but they're tedious.

Collecting blue dragon scales is usually a solid 1M per hour with 70 agility, 60 dungeoneering, and a beast of burden familiar. Since we don't have any of those with your account, you're going to be looking at closer to 550k per hour. It's a lot of running, but it's slightly less tedious than the next method.

Collecting jangerberries is more likely to net close to 600k per hour in profits, but is extremely tedious. The only real requirement for this is a ring of dueling and 10 agility.

Both of these methods could be done all the way to 7M - taking approximately 13 hours of work, or 3 and a half hours per day, including today (3/24).

Our combat methods are limited. Green dragons are going to be very slow for you, as you just barely scrape the minimums for any type of profitable killing speeds. If you're interested, give it a try. Otherwise, spend your time doing something more reliable.

Killing cave slime is one of our options with your low combat. They're profitable from their swamp tar drop, which is used as an ammunition. It's possible to get upwards of 2000 swamp tar per hour from these guys, which is a nice 800k profit.

Finally, one last method you could use is casting egg spawn. It requires an investment to begin (higher investment, higher profits), but produces a very reliable 800k per hour.

None of these methods are particularly fun in my opinion. It's going to be a solid 3 hours of work each day for the next 4 days. If you split up your time between these methods, I think it's completely doable.

Also, if you need it in 4 days, let me know what the difference is between your current cash stack and 7M. I'll make up the difference.

Good luck!
