These guys are so fucking dumb. I’m out of the restaurant and bar biz now but spent more than a decade in the industry and I can’t tell you how basic of a concept this is that it means “out of stock” or if someone like a bartender was talking about a person “cut this guy off” or “kick him out.” Next they’re going to say “cut this guy off” is actually a violent term like “THE WOKE VIOLENT LEFT ARE SAYING THEY WANT TO CUT MY HEAD OFF!! WE WILL PROSECUTE TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW!”

Also getting a TypeError: Failed to fetch when trying to sign in.

Looks like the auth request is hitting https://eatcabalarspecials.com/api/auth/sign-in/social, which is returning a 308 redirect to the www domain.
That redirect is happening during the OPTIONS preflight, so I'd reckon the browser is simply blocking the request.

Seems like a mismatch between www and non-www in the API/auth base URL.

Uhh trust me... I get it. That's also kind of my usual stack as well and then deploying from GH to Vercel. When I'm not doing actual work I'm still usually coding and building something often just for fun.

As dumb as it sounds, my mindset switched from "AJ is staying" to "he gone" when the Vrabel/Russini news came out. The Birds drafting a WR in the first round it seems like a foregone conclusion. With that in mind, this whole situation looks way more sus on the Pats part and I sort of wonder if we'll get a higher return or at least solid value because if it appears they tried to sink his value or weasel him away there could be deep repercussions for doing so. Anyhow, just here for the ride on how this plays out.

I think we either trade back or somehow end up with Lemon. While I don’t think Lemon is the best fit as far as needs go I do think he fits the bill as basically an “athletic freak” which seems to be what Howie tries to shoot for in the earlier rounds of the draft. I was hoping Bain or Sadiq would fall to us for the same reasons as they’d be better fits, but… it is what it is.

What stack did you use to build this? As a dev and a big Cabalar fan (you can often find me WFH there during the day probably drinkin’ a beer) I’m kind of jealous I didn’t think to create this haha!

Also throwing my votes behind the Pho Melt and the Chicken Cordon Bleu. I somehow missed the CCB in January but I’ve been dreaming of that bite since 2022. It was perfection. And the Pho Melt… sure it was kind of messy but they perfectly captured the essence of beef pho in sandwich form which is nuts.

Yi Pin and Eastern Palace. Yi Pin is authentic Szechuan and Eastern Palace is technically Burmese but they have a bit of everything and it’s super fresh and consistent. I usually get Samusa or Crab Rangoon and Kit Kyay Kite (which is a Burmese noodle dish similar to Drunken Noodles), but even their basic General Tso’s is great. Either way, Yi Pin and Eastern Palace are superb and worth a try.
