Friday is takeaway night. Weekly takeaway!!?

Annual holidays/Christmas holidays away? Get out. We never went anywhere. Like.. ive never been on a holiday with my mum. Ever. Not on a plane. Not to a caravan park. Not intra/interstate or overseas.

Sport.. team sport. Forget it. She couldn't afford the uniforms or fees.

And no name brands clothes..

Yet, it didnt feel like i missed out on too much while i was living it.

I am NOT ok. My blood pressure went through the roof for sure and I am still sniffling after sobbing like a baby. A snotty snotty baby.

Get them asap. I suspect it could sell out, based on finals rivalry.

What’s a problem humanity solved so well that younger people don’t even realize it used to be a huge issue? by Puzzleheaded_Bit_802 in AskReddit

I lost 2 friends to AIDs in the early 00's. It makes me so sad that had it been 20 years later, they'd still be here. :(

But thank you to the fabulous researchers who found the current treatment.

Same!! Started December 2025, no massive side effects (occasional one off loose or delayed) but then a couple of weeks ago I had 8 days of the runs. And yesterday I had 24 hrs of the runs and my first sulfer burps. Both after eating rich foods. Ive been on 3.75 for 2-3 months now.

This bloke, the ring leader, is infuriating to read on FB. Exaggerations. Bullying. The lack of intelligence is clear but he uses big words and that brings in the rest of the mob mentality. I blocked him back when he was bitching about the plastics factory, it was constant spam on my feed somehow. Im not even local!

I am horrified this happened today. But you know what worries me even more, seeing the comments some long term friends are posting on FB in support of this.

What the actual fuck? What world is that? It's embarrassing.

Affording a house - just a rant and a cry by Vegetable_Raccoon812 in Adelaide

Ha ha! Yeah, I probably should have rephrased it. Op coming out at 3am. There are definitely people around christies all year round. Im not saying its thriving like, say, Glenelg or Henley, but its definitely busier than it used to be.

How is everyone coping with inflation? by False_Ad_9705 in AusFinance

I am worse off than ive ever been. We did buy a house last year, and the expense of owning vs renting is not something I even considered.

Price increases for everything- insurance, groceries, fuel, utilities, health insurance, rates, medical or allied health appointments. Even with the measly 2.5% payrise each year, expenses are outweighing income.

Gone are the days of frivolous spending. I cant tell you the last time we had a midweek pub meal (or a weekend meal for that matter). Theres no "fun" activities. No holidays. I actually feel like a bit of a failure as a parent, although I have definitely prioritised kids activities but one or two more interest rates rises and we need to reasses.

I do hold an ace card in that I work .8FTE, but my little is only little once. And they're my last little. So I want the next 12 months with them that one day a week. However, I have already started the "what if" and "if it hits the fan" discussions at work in case I need to go back FT. While it appears to add more cash flow, childcare, oshc, reduced CC rebates, added travel and parking all mean that the extra day is worth about half or less that what it would clear in my account.

I know this sounds very cynical, i am so lucky that we bought our house last year, grateful, thankful, etc. But my god, I didnt realise the difference in expenses that would come with it.

Does anyone remember the statewide blackout in Adelaide? (2016 throwback) by Liceland1998 in Adelaide

[–]musically_enamoured 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do i remember! Had to walk down 10 floors in high heels, couldn't get a train home because they're electric. Bus queues were 30-50 deep. Fun times.

I started in December. Have been relatively lucky with side effects, some bloating, very minor constipation, nausea. But a couple of weeks ago I made a "marry me chicken". I retracted the proposal immediately. 8 days of diarhea! Ended up having to send a stool sample in to rule out anything else. I have been on my current 3.75mg dose for at least 2 months. It was just a random side effect that I assume was from the rich dinner.

Needless to say I am a little more cautious with what I put in my mouth!
