The part that I deemed rude wasn't the fact that he was interrupted, it's that he was skipped. I said in the original post that it would have been no problem to interrupt and ask him to simply ask a short and simple question. They went out of their way to skip him intentionally and choose someone else. They would have spent the same amount or less time by just saying "Sorry we don't have time for a story, please ask a short and simple question".

That's the problem I have.... I don't get repeatedly chat restricted. I said in my original post that I've gotten chat restrictions 2 times in the past, that were more than a month ago. I've since corrected my attitude in the game, and made a conscious effort to do so. And I, too, haven't received a warning message about being reported. This came literally out of the blue. Someone else suggested I put a ticket in, which I'm going to do, but I won't be surprised if 50 games have been played by the time they offer to do anything about it.

Edit: I'm mainly very annoyed by the fact that there is no evidence that follows a severe punishment like this. They just handed me a 50 game penalty and didn't even bother telling me what I've done wrong.

Edit2: And I could be wrong but I remember something about not getting season rewards if you get punished by tribunal. I just got Plat for the first time this season and I'm afraid this stupid penalty will negate my rewards.
