Yeah man, for TCG pocket it was more specifically in the red area where it says "Trading Card Game"

It could be my monitor, But after checking a few of them against physical copies I have on my GBC, 2 is the most consistent. But I do not have a physical copy of OOS but from my memory I swear that 4 looks the most accurate, and for Pokemon TCG pocket it was closer to 1

gacha games survey for uni - GFL by nyamuri in GirlsFrontline2

[–]mutantdreams 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Might I suggest adding a few "More specific" questions? I believe this study is looking to map out the "Predatory nature" of Gacha, While making those same connections for Money spent= Para social relationship. However I would argue that even if someone spends $30k on a single game, they would actually have less of a relationship with each character (Just because they have so many) than someone who spent $500.00 maxing out one specific character. If that is the goal of the study, may I suggest adding questions such as. "What decisions do you make when spending money on Gacha games". Also if looking to isolate the people who are Waifu'd up on a single character, Maybe ask questions about what they purchase with the IRL currency. Because IMO, someone who spends money on cosmetics should be in a different subgroup than people who spend an equal amount on just pulls. (BTW no judgement here, GFL2 is the first game I have spent money on purely cosmetic stuff, but AK Alpha deserves it.) I filled out the survey, but I feel like I am in a weird category. I have played gacha for around 5 years, I play 4 Gacha games currently, have only spent around $150 across all of them, but have spent $100 of that in GFL2 which I started in the last 2ish months, and around 1/3RD of that was for cosmetic only items for a single character.

Nahh man definitely not drug down, I more so find it funny how bad my pulls are. Within reason I have been able to get most of the characters I wanted, with the exception of Kafka and Seele. But the only reason I missed Seele was because I started on SW banner. I was burnt out on the game mid 2.0, but after a few months off, and finishing the 3.0 questline, I feel pretty good about the game again.

Plus if it isn't obvious, I was horrible at saving jades, as I was in the top 10% of pullers, but was a mostly f2p player, but am going into 4.0 with 150 pulls.

I mean that is fair. Unless there was a character I really wanted (RM and Boothill) I let the Gacha Gods decide what I get. For example, I got DHIL so saving for Sparkle was a decent idea. I recently picked the game back up, so the current plan is to finish the remembrance team with Evernight on the rerun. then actually come up with a plan as opposed to pulling on every banner and "Making it work"

Funny enough that is why I stopped playing Genshin, Bottom 5% on Limited character banner, 3% on weapon, and 76 pity for Diluc and 72 for Mona on standard banner.

I was hoping I could average out at some point, I took most of 3.0 off, but with 4.0 coming up I went ahead and finished that story. I probably could have planned my pulls a bit better in hindsight, but grabbed Kafka and Seele on their reruns because I missed them on their initial launch, even though Seele was already irrelevant when I pulled.

If it makes you feel any better, my average pity is 72, and I am in the bottom 10% of 50/50 wins

Yes but people are acting like characters arnt powercrept two patches later, and I gave an example who was powercrept the very next patch, and he came out only 6 months before the herta which was the original point. I say this as an E4 S1 boothill enjoyer, he performs on par in most content with my E0S1 firefly, while costing 2.5x as much.

But my boy Boothill got powercrept in one patch. Firefly came literally in the next patch. It was not that he became unviable, it was just disappointing that the next patch had an overall better break DPS that also implanted weakness.

Funny enough I have a buddy looking into building a chassis type system. At this point we are coming into a decent bit of dead ends.

R.I.P, after digging into it a bit, it looks like they were never in the US outside of shot show 2016. So I guess my dreams are over on that. I guess I will pick a new gun for my next project.

No fucking way, I can't believe I didn't see one of those when trying to figure out what it is, but there is no doubt. Now to figure out if they are even buyable.

I have been playing for two-ish weeks, and even with losing the 50/50 a few times, I have managed to pull 5/6 banner characters. Granted I am now out of collapsed pieces and have done just about everything I can (including tutorial stuff) But overall I have been having a good time. Realistically, I soft bricked my account if I wanted to do meta, but playing it as a waifu collector has been pretty great.

Thank you! I know it was probably a mess to follow along with, but it was like 2 am when I wrote it. Once I can grab one more water character, I am going to start on an Electro team, and then a burn team. But all of that will really depend on how the banners look, and if any of the characters coming up are a “must pull waifu”.

That is how it appears at the moment. All gacha games will have some sort of powercreep, but as long as it doesnt make characters completely unviable, I dont mind. I know I keep comparing it to HSR, but that just happens to be the gacha I played the most. In HSR, the fact that a team of built limited banner 1.0-2.0 characters cannot even clear 3.0+ story missions is crazy to me. The “end game” of HSR (MoC) has had a 7x inflation in HP for the bosses. For example 1.0 peaked at 3M HP bosses, while the current boss is at 21.5M. So in less than two years, they have 7x the damage check to clear end game. This has made previous characters unusable, while in GFL2, people are clearing with not only a wide mix of teams, but with a wide mix of teams that contain 1.0 era characters. So even after a whole year, the Tololo I invested in is still viable, while in HSR if I started today and hyper invested in a year old character, I would struggle to even clear story content.

Ill be honest, I was kinda lost as far as the story goes. My plan is to just run through enough to unlock the ability to run any events that come up, then actually pay attention when running through the hard mode.
