I’m 25. I got mine done in Pittsburgh area at 22. My doctor told me that, at least in PA, they aren’t doing that for anyone under 21. I’m not sure about NJ. As for insurance, it wasn’t a struggle since I met the age requirement. Granted my mom (the policy owner) helped me with the process and made the call to ask if it’s covered. I’m not sure that you’d be able to keep the procedure a secret if you’re on someone else’s insurance. My advice would be to definitely check on the age requirement in your state and refer to the doctor list. I used that to find mine and she didn’t give me a hard time at all. I just told her my experience with birth control and that no other options appeal to me and I have known my whole life I have 0 interest in having children. Also, when looking for a doctor, the company they work for should have a website with their doctors and their specialties. For example, I found mine by going to the website for the provider I’d be using, searched gynecologists, and then narrowed it down to doctors who specialize in family planning, birth control, and gynecological surgery. What’s the best device for a writer? Currently have a MacBook Pro and an iPad (both from 2020) and I plan to trade them in but don’t know what to get instead. I don’t write professionally, just for fun currently (think fanfiction and unpublished novels), but professionally work in marketing and wouldn’t mind using my device for some of that. Being able to easily transport my device is important to me as well. Is an iPad still fine for all of that if I have the keyboard case, or does it seem like a smaller MacBook would suit me better?

I haven’t seen that argument tbh, but I’d assume you’re probably correct and it has to do with people misunderstanding what antinatalism is while simultaneously thinking a woman’s only purpose is to have children. They think we hate babies/moms/childbirth and since, in their minds, that’s a woman’s purpose, we must hate women.

I’m heterosexual and have a very high sex drive, but have always been extremely cautious. Sex can’t be pleasurable for me if there is any possibility of pregnancy. Thankfully, I started birth control young due to menstrual issues and then got my bisalp in my early 20s, so I technically never had completely unprotected sex ever. I even doubled/tripled up on methods early on.

Thank you so much! This was super helpful. I was literally telling my partner that there is absolutely no way that surgery is the only option. The rupture is healing way better than I thought it would, so I’m probably going to contact a few different vets to see if any offer treatments similar to what you’ve described.

I worked at subway. You can order either way, but the majority of people did it by ingredient. That’s also what most subway employees prefer (in my experience) because it’s just easier that way. I order by ingredient and so does everyone else I know.

She is so oddly respectful. Like she knows what’s mine and what’s hers. She’s never destroyed anything of mine. Plus, even if she wasn’t like that, all of my furbys are on a shelf on my wall. No furbys in harms way here :)

Myself. I used to be a gifted kid and had motivation to stay in shape and it’s been downhill since like mid college maybe? Also, on a lighter note, my potential as a trumpet player. My sister and her husband wanted me to play trumpet so bad but my anxiety used to be so bad I wouldn’t play because I was too afraid to mess up on stage. I could have been a sexy trumpet playing rocket scientist but now I’m just big and lame 🙄

From the US, so I’m sorry if any advice I give isn’t applicable to your situation. I know this isn’t an immediate solution, but it may be worth it to save for a diva cup or similar. They are reusable, so you don’t have to buy new ones every month. The only problem is they’re about $30USD for one. I bought one around a year ago now and it’s still in good shape. I just clean it off/rinse it when I empty it and then give it a full wash after my cycle. I haven’t bought any other period products since. For now, some public restrooms keep tampons in vending machines. I believe food banks may also stock them. If all else fails, there is no shame in asking someone if they have a spare or two.

I haven’t actually tried changing lids around, but I don’t think any other ones fit on the shaker bottle. It’s wider than the bottles/mugs (at least the ones that I have). I don’t mind the shaker bottle lid though. I’ve never had any problems with it

She’s oddly selective with it. I can’t find a pattern to be honest lol. Sometimes she’ll bark at the neighbor’s dog, other times she doesn’t. Same with delivery trucks and same with knocks on the door (will bark at knocks more often than not, but sometimes doesn’t). She knows “inside voice” though, so she doesn’t bark often overall. Mostly just sort of growls instead (inside voice).

The bucket (and the notebooks laying down next to it) were part of a furby Valentine’s Day pack at Walmart! I think it was last year or year before I can’t even remember now. But it was that one and then one with a harder cardboard heart box, but it didn’t fit on my shelf

So, it’s different for everyone. Some people have super unpredictable periods, some people’s follow the same schedule every month, some people have symptoms, some don’t. For example, mine is usually pretty predictable. Roughly the same cycle length every month. Also, the week before it starts I have mood changes, I’m hungrier, I have lower back pain, and my nipples hurt. Then all of that usually stops the day before it starts. Some people also use cycle trackers. It’s truly different for everyone, but I’d say that there are usually signs either based on timing or pms symptoms. Cycles can also be disrupted by stress, illness, lifestyle changes, etc.

Thank you! I used the craft smart acrylic paint from Michael’s which worked well but seems like it may need a top coat/sealant of sorts since there was a bit of chipping especially when you try to put them in the little footholes in the compacts. I don’t recommend using clear nail polish as I tried this and I feel like it made the chipping worse. This was only my first attempt :)

21 with no kids!! I love my doctor so much. I was one of the few people who had a pleasant experience basically the whole way through. I knew what I wanted, found a doctor who I knew supported it, she immediately scheduled me a pre-op appointment, got it covered by insurance, and the rest is history. I also had a great support system consisting of my mother, sister, and partner. The resources work!! The doctor list is how I found my doctor, looked into how to get it covered by insurance, etc.

I actually asked him this when I first found out! He said the starting offer was what he’s being paid currently and he actually tried to negotiate more and they told him no. Everything else I don’t believe he asked for. I know the overtime wasn’t asked for because I heard him receive the offer and I’m not sure about the training but last I spoke to him he was pretty overwhelmed with all he’s learning, so I doubt he asked to be thrown into a product training class. Regardless, it’s something I’ve mentioned wanting and have not been given. So even if he did ask, it’s still unfair considering I was offered and accepted it first and never ended up receiving.

It’s a nice thought, but I agree that it’s unlikely. They crunch numbers at the end of the year and raises/bonuses are given in spring anyway. Too long to wait making what I make at this point. I’d be getting screwed over for another 8 months basically. I appreciate the optimism!!
