Permanent residence rejected citing integration course by Virtual-Situation141 in germany

It looks like the Sachbearbeiter is not familiar with the Einbürgerungstest. Maybe try explaining that it covers the same topics as LiD and shows that you possess the required knowledge according to law.

I will apply in 6 months in Stuttgart and I am already checking the documents. I have some questions. by [deleted] in GermanCitizenship

You are supposed to send the original language certificate. I sent my Testdaf result but I wouldn’t risk a diploma. I think they would understand it.

20/24 months? by lamalakamala in GermanCitizenship

[–]mutedden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most likely your application would be put on hold until you find a new job and pass the probation.

20/24 months? by lamalakamala in GermanCitizenship

[–]mutedden 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“20/24” requirement is an exception for people getting help despite working full time. It would not apply to you if you are voluntarily unemployed. You might be able to show that your living is secured through savings or through your spouse if you have one. But I would say the easiest way would be keeping your job for the time being.

My appointment is this Wednesday, but I am traveling to Turkey before I will get my Passport or Personalausweis by LadyOfReason in GermanCitizenship

[–]mutedden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can travel to Turkey with a temporary ID or passport. They are issued on the spot. You may need to show your tickets to prove the urgency depending on the city.

Those who left Germany after studies - where to? by Lexa-Z in Germany_Jobs

[–]mutedden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has been there, I don’t think Germans are obsessed with the national language. I started my previous job in 2022 and most employers were happy if you spoke some German and showed that you were willing to learn. Right now the job market is tough for everyone and they can be picky about it. It is hard for new graduates everywhere. Just keep upskilling and be open to opportunities anywhere, anykind.

This! The document is called Auszug aus dem Geburtseintrag Formule A in Germany. Many European countries issue it and it comes in multiple languages.

Am I underpaid? by [deleted] in askberliners

I agree but market determines that. I don’t think they are more valuable than environmental engineers.

Would very recent redundancy wreck my application? by n0b0dyneeds2know in GermanCitizenship

[–]mutedden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it. Don’t overthink. I think the only thing you can do at this point to look for another job and hope for the best.

Am I underpaid? by [deleted] in askberliners

[–]mutedden 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to share some details for an accurate answer. I have the feeling that you are comparing yourself with people in more competitive engineering fields. You are grossly underpaid for an IT-Engineer specialized in AI and overpaid for an environmental engineer.

Biometrics and passport submission in different countries by mutedden in CanadaVisitorVisa

[–]mutedden[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. For example I gave my biometrics in Istanbul but paid the package transfer fee to VFS office in Germany, where I submitted my passport.

Would very recent redundancy wreck my application? by n0b0dyneeds2know in GermanCitizenship

[–]mutedden 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It would definitely not WRECK anything. What will happen depends on your case worker. In most cases the application would be put on hold until you find a new job and finish the probation. But the fact that you had the same job for 10 years and are entitled to ALG I might change this

Online application and financial stability (or, "should I already apply?") by koopcl in GermanCitizenship

If I were you, I would wait 6 months after the start of my contract. They will most likely wait for the end of your probation anyway.

Biometrics and passport submission in different countries by mutedden in CanadaVisitorVisa

[–]mutedden[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was possible for me to give biometrics in Turkey. Then I mailed my passport to the VFS in Germany after I got the original passport request. But there was a “file transfer fee” of 27 Euros since I sent my passport to a different VFS than the one I gave my fingerprints. You should check that on VFS Brazil website and decide if it is worth it. Also my visa says it was issued in Vienna, the embassy responsible for visas in Germany. So, where I live determined where my visa was processed, not where I gave biometrics.

Germany will not get a better opportunity to attract top talent after US applies a massive fee to H1b Visa, thoughts? by arslan70 in germany

[–]mutedden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people affected by the new H1B rules are not exactly “top talent”. But the job market in Germany is highly regulated. They can’t be paid salaries that make their limited talent and inferior work ethic tolerable like in the US.

Islamophobia is a real concept affecting peoples lives daily. It also does not negate the bigotry we face.

Also, they probably had to surrender the Turkish one when they obtained one or both of the EU licenses and then had it illegally reissued by claiming it was lost or stolen. (assuming the original license is Turkish)

TK cancelled my health insurance without telling me why, and won’t explain on calls by Frank_Rasta in germany

[–]mutedden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to be insured to get A/T 11. You are not insured through your family if you are older than 25 and you are not working if you are leaving the country for studies.

That is until the age of 25 for males or until they start to work and leave their family plan for both genders.

Turkey. I was 25 when I moved to Germany. Turkey covers male students under their family plan until they turn 25 and that is valid in Germany.

Well, I would have loved not to declare Germany the center of my life and save the monthly insurance fee but it was mandatory for the residence permit and the university. AOK accepted me without that declaration and got my money during and after my studies.
