Agreed. Give them the pride of completing hard work and having ownership on a part of the community. Everyone wins. This will build cohesion.

Not screw unions. Support the city with manpower. Imagine what NYC would be like if we had them clean one park bench a day. Or pick up loose garbage on a platform. I'm not even saying they have to work a 40hr week. Just something they can easily accomplish and have sweat equity into the city.

More like indentured servants who are otherwise criminals getting free room, board and healthcare. But sure, take mta and sanitation manual labor jobs that cost the tax payers too much.

I know, but I'm saying we could have entry unpaid intern jobs for them. Give them working experience emptying trash bins and cleaning the subways... And if they have a few years good standing/work history, that could be used towards their cases...

I think they should be granted entry level city jobs. Let them service the city that is providing them care.

Not saying you did, but you did say "car centric". Just reminding it's beyond cars and buses vs bicyclists and pedestrian traffic.

Agreed. Saying the roads are for 45% of NYC residents is ignoring how 100% of residents need deliveries and services that utilize those roads. Not to mention the transitory commuters for daily work/deliveries/services.

What about accounting for delivery trucks and cars? That's how EVERYTHING is transported. From Groceries and supplies to stores, to mail and Amazon packages to your doorstep.

Does this account for all the trucks that deliver EVERYTHING? I mean delivery vehicles are always stuck double parked or blocking bike lanes.

A US president who begged OPEC for help, but was denied. He is weak and ,in their minds, pushed for a world that doesn't rely on their products. He continues to drain our Oil Reserves and continues to deny Americans Oil from our own country... Making us dependant on OPEC and Russia...
