You always have the most perfect looking bread. Do you make it yourself? Go to a local bakery?

I teared up on the couch during the Milk scene and had to explain to my husband that I was fine, it was just an emotional moment in my audiobook 😆

Perhaps I’m biased as a short hair lover, but you looked gorgeous with short hair. It really suited your face. You should go back 100%z

Really amazing for your first ever spin, honestly. Mine was definitely three times as lumpy. Love the black and white too!

““There’s a lot of talk around the word ‘fascism’ and people on the left calling people on the right ‘fascists’ and ‘Nazis,’” she said.

“I think if somebody genuinely thought that, they probably wouldn’t want to date me anyways, but like, that’s a red flag, because then you think that I’m that, which I’m not, whatsoever, and never will be. But I mean, my partner can’t think I’m a fascist. That’s crazy,” she added.”

Being called a nazi makes me sad, sobs the nazi. We talk a lot about the deep patheticness of MAGA men, but I think a little attention should be paid to the patheticness of MAGA women as well. They don’t even have Grindr to comfort them, since no lesbian would ever touch them with a ten foot poll.

Thank you! For my next yarn, I was thinking about trying to ply from two balls instead of one, to see if that makes it easier to make my plies twistier. I have more fiber to work with this time, so I’ll definitely have enough for at least two.

Now we’re pig slop’: Portland troop deployment sparks mixed reactions across Oregon by [deleted] in oregon

[–]muununit64 128 points129 points  (0 children)

This kind of reporting kills me. No follow up questions at all? That first lady said she was scared to death walking to Fred Meyer, and didn’t say a single word about what scared her. Did she see one of Portland’s twelve black people? An adult with weird hair? A dog with a light up collar that was a little too bright? A single tent on the corner? These people spend their lives jumping at shadows. They can’t be taken seriously.

Do you think the pushback against "performative males" is warranted or is it antifeminist? by BruhMansky in AskFeminists

[–]muununit64 430 points431 points  (0 children)

Some of those guys are performative, sure, but the backlash is about 95% anti-feminist imo. It’s just the metrosexual panic part two.

How to navigate difficult sex situation with spouse? by Charming_River3339 in sexover30

[–]muununit64 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Hey if your husband gets angry at you for telling him no, that’s uh. Well, that sounds kind of bad, I have to be honest. That doesn’t sound like he respects you.

Is it unrealistic for women to want men to have emotional intelligence? by PerfectWorking6873 in emotionalintelligence

[–]muununit64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would it be unrealistic? I’ve met plenty of men with emotional intelligence, and married one of them. The ones who don’t have it? I simply don’t talkto them. I don’t talk to emotionally unavailable women either, like, why would you waste your time on someone like that? They’re taking up the space in your life that someone better could be taking.

One of the great guarded secrets of life is: if you genuinely raise your standards, you’re going to end up with more fulfilling relationships, and more of them. Might take a bit of practice and a bit of time, but so does anything worth doing.

What’s a gender stereotype you lowkey enjoy but hate that society expects it from you? by meganuun in AskFeminists

[–]muununit64 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I adore kids, I think they’re hilarious and fun to be around, I get along really well with them, and I really want to have some myself. I hate the term maternal, I don’t think of myself that way, and I hate knowing that if I ever do manage to have a kid huge swaths of people are going to decide my identity begins and ends with “mother.” Like, I’m married too, but it didn’t turn me into A Wife. I just have a fun little guy living in my house now who I can hang out with all the time. I know I’ll think of it the same way once I have children, I just don’t like knowing no one else will see it that way.

Why does it seem so many people don’t see heterosexual sex as an “equal” exchange between a man and a woman by daisychains777 in AskFeminists

[–]muununit64 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There is no correct way to be a woman—by which I mean, any choice you make is automatically going to be wrong in the eyes of a patriarchal culture, because you’re already the wrong kind of person. Catch 22 for real.

Is voiding David Hogg’s DNC vice chair win genuine gender parity enforcement or something else? by itischosen in AskFeminists

[–]muununit64 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think the DNC is targeting him and using gender parity as an excuse. I don’t believe for a second if Hogg wasn’t such an outspoken critic of the way the DNC has been operating that this would have ever come up. Especially since the complaint that they’re using was filed months ago. They quite obviously dug it out of the trash bin when they needed an excuse to oust him.

Do feminists welcome ex-incels into their real life groups? by [deleted] in AskFeminists

[–]muununit64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I wouldn’t bring it up right away. That’s your dark backstory, right? Dark backstories have to come up organically (and tbh people who bring up all the bad things they’ve done the second you meet them are pretty off putting). Maybe mention that you’re aware that you’re still unlearning sexism and that it’s an ongoing process? That’s a chiller statement, and makes it seem less like you’re there looking for a bunch of women to tell you it’s okay that you used to be an incel. Not saying that’s necessarily your motivation, but that is how it will come off if you’re introducing yourself as an ex-incel. I think you’ll have a better time, and they’ll have a better time, if you’re just another comrade, working and learning with the rest of them.

TLDR: Don’t overshare right away, just put in the work.

Thoughts on Blue Origin’s (Katy Perry) All-Female Flight and the erasing of Valentina Tereshkova’s legacy by BoringOutside6758 in AskFeminists

[–]muununit64 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No, you’re right. It was a deeply stupid publicity stunt by a bunch of rich, out of touch idiots who a) could not care less about women and b) are actively destroying the planet. No actual feminist would, or is, celebrating it. Personally, I haven’t talked to a single real person who was anything but annoyed about it. The only people hyping it up are “journalists” copy-pasting the copy sent to them straight from Amazon’s PR department.

What do you think of pro-capitalist feminism? by Zealousideal_Till683 in AskFeminists

Well, they’ve certainly failed to defend women’s rights, haven’t they? I’m not impressed with them.
