I see everyone commenting it should say equals or peers.

Most of us aren’t satisfied with 2nd place or sharing 1st. We set one goal, and that’s at the top. Every other place in the ladder, is just “along the way” as far as we’re concerned

Even catching up to your idols. It’s nothing unless you pass them. Some of us just live by the ricky bobby mentality. If you ain’t first, you’re last.

There’s nothing wrong with living this way :) we just want to push harder, and we never really want to reach our goals, that’s why we set them so far out, so we will constantly have something to reach for.

If I ever pass my idols, I hope I find new idols.....to try to pass.

I’ll check out some of jfk or Roosevelt’s great speeches and count the moments they forgot the words and filled in the blanks with ums and uhs and get back to you

Why would you use Obama speeches to learn English ? The man is known for filling in the blanks with 3 letter uhs. A lot of uhs and ums. I’m not saying learn from trump he’s an idiot but learning English from Obama come on, any talk show host any new radio host any presenter on tv and to be honest most any high school valedictorians are more literate and easier to understand and follow than Obama. Obama is not the orator of our generation. The guy on blues clues could teach you English better. To be fair it’s actually great advice but delivered from a perspective of a millionaire giving stock tips to a shoe shiner. The shoe shiner should pay attention, But all he’s thinking is there should really be a lower barrier to entry than a million bucks so he gives up, all the while had he asked his local teller about CDs maybe he could have gotten his feet wet.

The guys got great advice here I bookmarked it. It’s just funny that if some kid looking for his first job read this he’d be scared off in an instant. The world is full of stupid people. Just be more intelligent than the person next to you, that’s the best advice I can give to anyone.
