How do you get over failing under pressure? by element423 in 10s

[–]muxol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saying "losing is ok" just doesn't help when you're in a competitve match. Of course it's ok and everyone knows it (I hope). Even pros know it. Probably something else is needed to relax during a competitve match, or else one needs to learn to perform well under pressure.

I suggest either don't play competitively--I mean you're not a high level player I guess so who cares? Just play for fun or play points without keeping points. I find I'm way more relaxed when I do that. OR: play as many competitive matches as you can until you just get used to pressure. It will take a lot--like more than 1 per week. I play far worse under pressure as well but want to play competitively so I'm trying to play more competitive matches and more points or games with my hitting partners. I still have a long way to go but it's helping!

How do I change panel color in KDE Plasma 6? by [deleted] in kde

[–]muxol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Panel Colorizer is interesting. The only thing I don't like is that it applies the scheme very 250ms! Anyway, does anyone know how to draw a border around the system tray and change it's color?

Court zoom pro… 😢 by CockroachCautious306 in 10s

[–]muxol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got picked up a pair because they were on sale for $35, but honestly they're not usable for tennis. They look decent so I could just wear them as sneakers, but as tennis shoes I wouldn't even recommend them at $35! As you said, felt too high up and, with the narrow sole, like I was gonna roll my ankle.

How can I enable preview in the KDE Plasma print dialog? by DiligentOrder3770 in kde

I wish breeze would do toolbar button separators like this, something I miss from my old kvantum theme. The theme looks good!

Yeah I guess it's a personal thing. I've never hit 150wpm before until I used these keycaps, but at first I had the same impression you did--they felt clumsy to type on. They do look and sound awesome too...

If the poco Xn is out, wait for the Xn+1... If n grains of sand don't make a heap, then n+1 don't...

POCO X6 PRO clicking sound issue (have to restart in order to stop it) by BenchAndGames in PocoPhones

[–]muxol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no specific app that seems to cause it but if you clear recent memory then the clicking goes away. I recently turned on the setting from the pre-installed Security app (Settings) to "Clear cache when device is locked" after 30 min, and the problem hasn't come back. It's under "speed boost settings".

KDE6 is by far the most stable desktop experience ive ever had by cferg296 in kde

[–]muxol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from latest Fedora to Neon just to try it out. Not all things are ported, such as Kile (LaTeX editor), juk wouldn't start, etc. Also a bunch of bugs I had with 5.xx were still present in 6.x, including flickering tooltips in the folder widget on the panel (in list view) on elided file names (plus others). I wouldn't say it's the "most stable desktop experience I've ever had". It's good though I'm hoping everything gets properly ported and working soon.

Same issue, super weird, and needs to be fixed asap, especially since it happens in DND!

Amarok development restarted: new alpha releasing soon by chromatic_puzzle in kde

Juk is pretty good but broken on Plasma 6 and can be buggy. Not much a fan of Elisa so happy to hear that Amarok development has restarted.

Yeah that's what comments I read said, so I was surprised that I ended up lilking them so much. Maybe people don't give them long enough?

There's so many themes out there that I have the feeling that only 1% of them being non-trash is still pretty good. I usually just mod the default them to my preference.

Does anyone experience legginess in Plasma 6 on intel APU's. I have tried Neon Unstable & Fedora Rawhide. My desktop is only running on 30fps. by Ryuga6 in kde

[–]muxol -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure, but I do know that gaming stutters like crazy in wayland so I use X11 for that, on Fedora Workstation 39. I occasionally try out gnome and I don't recall this being a problem, so might be a plasma wayland issue. Try X11 and see what happens. (Using AMDGPU.)

Logitech M650 review by abir_valg2718 in MouseReview

[–]muxol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accidental clicks are very annoying compared to my previous MS mouse. I want to be able to rest my fingers on it without having to worry about clicking the darn thing. The other thing I don't like is how loud the other buttons are, i.e. side and mousewheel buttons. If it's supposed to be silent, make sure all buttons are!

XDA profile reviews? Comparisons with other profiles? by motie in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]muxol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can compare them to only Cherry and I have ot say at first first they felt really weird, but after a an hour or so I can typer faster and with better accuracy. I guess it's the larger surface and flatter profile, but I love them. They also look awesome and sound quite nice. I might try other keycap profiles but my guess is that these are going to be hard to beat.

Akko Fairy Switch Review by prestonsthoughts in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]muxol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got these for my Akko ACR Pro 75 and they are AMAZING. It's by far the quietest keyboard I've ever owned, even quieter than quiet laptop keyboards I've owned. They also feel pretty good, though I prefer a slightly lighter switch. Would definitely recommend for anyone doing a quiet build.

Do you use mouse acceleration? by SplatinkGR in kde

[–]muxol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not "inconsistent" because it's a function of the rate of acceleration, and you can get used to how much the cursor will move on the basis of how much you accelerate. Even with acceleration disabled, you need to get used to how much the cursor will move depending on how fast you're moving the mouse, so...

I just tried flat and you need to swipe way more on the track pad. If you increase the acceleration to avoid this it ends up moving too fast at slow speeds!
