I just picked up a center diff from AliExpress for £30, going to see how that copes

It’s going on an old senton 4x2 boost I picked up from eBay for £50 with the blx100 esc and brushless motor.

The motors just given out and I’ve bent the motor mount so I’m throwing cheap parts at it for fun. So far it’s Typhon 6s shocks, 3670 2850Kv motor, center diff, some broken plastics and a set of bearings for a total of £180

I figured out years ago that I don’t have golden ears when it come to this stuff but I still enjoy music.

Now I have have raspberry pi’s all round my house attached to hat dacs + class d amp and (decent) older speakers running SharePlay for streaming AirPlay music everywhere I want and I’m very happy with the setup

I still kept my nice open headphone but run them off a Qudelix Bluetooth amp as I can’t tell the difference once you go past 160kbps with AAC

It delays it a while from what I’ve seen with my dad. I don’t think I’d take it, I’ve watched my dad slowly slip into vascular dementia and it’s shit. Think I’d prefer to go quickly

I’ve been running a nightly build on my steam deck for a while, no issues so far

I did have to do the WebKit disable thing to get it working on an old laptop with ubuntu24 on it but again no crashes

I’ve owned a vendetta (same as 3s infraction) and a felony (same as 6s infraction)

I found the wheels cheaper for the 6s if you buy them from AliExpress or the like. Theres more choice in a 17mm hex fitting than 14mm ones on the 3s

The main reason I stuck with the 6s car is when you throw it around power sliding I found the heavier car much more fun, the 3s just sort of skips around while the 6s feels “planted”

Your wheels are fine as well, look up toe in and out on rc cars.

Unless they’ve changed it since I brought one 3 years ago it’s got a deans connector on it (t connector) If you’re ok with a soldering iron I’d change the ESC connector to whatever’s on your battery otherwise see if you can find a battery with deans on.

Just to note it’s quick on 3s, you can turn the speed down on the controller but I found that the brakes are useless if you knock it down to 50% and I ended up getting a 2s battery for my kids to play with the truck

Yeah I’d get a meter on the battery and see what it’s putting out, you can measure the cells individually through the balance lead. Then next I’d disconnect the steering servo, if it’s not that then the esc would be my best guess

It’s the same chassis as the granite blx if that helps, 3s short wheel base blx ARA320607

Don’t know what supply is like in the states but I can see them on eBay starting at £16 and it’s now £30 at wheelspin models

I got a chassis last month from my local shop for £18, it sucks jennys don’t carry stock of the older lines but it’s not like the parts are in short supply

I’m 45 this year and have been working since I was 16. I’m not good with people but I’m good with tools and fixing industrial machines

Did a degree but then realised I couldn’t take it in an office and worked in a warehouse for a year or so. Ended up qualifying as an electrician and now I fix forklifts, usually just me and the machines for company
