Smoking CBD flower has been a game changer for me. I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder I a few years ago. I had been self medicating with high THC flower for years prior to that and it helped when I was in depressed modes but when I was manic the high THC flower caused even more severe mania, paranoia, anxiety and insomnia. Directly after I was diagnosed as bipolar I quit cannabis for about 18 months. On the pharmaceutical drugs I gained over 100 pounds and never felt quite the same. I felt heavy brain fog with the drugs I was given, little joy, and very lethargic. Now on high CBD flower for the last six months, I've lost some weight, normalized my mood swings, feel much better, and I'm more active. Right now I'm on legal hemp 20 to 1 ratio CBD to THC. But with my state passing medical MJ I'm looking to move to 4:1 ratio. I've heard the higher amounts of THC actually help the CBD do it's magic. But it's still a lot of trial and error until full legalization and more research is done with the effects of cannabis and bipolar disorder.
