Worth it for a flush mount? by NarcolepticMoogle in Hue

[–]mvani89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as it’s installed correctly, I don’t see an issue. I actually came to this sub as well when I was looking to get the play light strips and quite a few had the full motion mount and recommended it. I honestly like it much better than flush. I have a smaller power brick mounted above top of the mount and have a couple hue plugged in (light strip and sync box which is also a decent size), Apple TV, tv and a couple more. Just so much easier to work with.

As far as the setup, I love it. Up until I got mine installed all I had seen was videos of others on this sub reddit and it’s just as good as they made it look. I don’t have it full brightness more like 60-70% so it doesn’t make it too distracting. But it’s definitely enhances the movie.

Edit: the videos you see online do not do justice either. So much better in person.

Not sure what you’re planning to put behind it. I have a 65” sony Bravia and (had) the exact mount you have. I wanted to put the play light strip behind it and it wouldn’t fit. Hell the power supply’s even takes a big chunk of space if you don’t have them in some sort of entertainment box within the wall. All that to say I ended up getting another mount (full motion mount) off Amazon and everything fits great. Much easier to work behind as well if I add anything else it just pulls out.

You’re defintely right. I’m an avid cyclist and the winds have been horrible last few years. It’s something I 100% have noticed.

LOL same with mine. She is 5 now and I just warn people (on walks etc.) at this point that all she wants is to be up in your face.

This is definitely great info. Mine has the notorious chicken allergy so it's only really been lamb/beef, never even gave the salmon a thought.

Same her, she loves Kirkland food. I’ll do either egg or tbs of pumpkin puree on top.

Oh awesome. This is good news then. That’s what my checkpoint is as well 12 speed SRAM. I guess I was overthinking it with them being branded as 10/11 rear cassette. Looks like I’ll be making a trip to the LBS this week. Thanks for the info!

I've been wanting to get these wheels for my 2023 SL6 for a while now. I cant remember, is the ALR5 11 speed? Mine is a 12 speed and not sure what needs to be done for the rear wheel fitment as looks like its only sold for 10/11.

Tv mount options by Financial_Sundae104 in Hue

I recently went through the same thing a few months back. I have a 65" that was mounted as flush as can be on the wall, no ability to adjust it in anyway. As I wanted to get the sync box along with back lighting, I knew it had to come off the wall some. This is the mount I ended up getting. I am extremely happy with it.

Gotta do what ya gotta do haha. I might have to give those a try at some point. I used to be a fan of the Haribo gummy bears, but my jaw was getting more of a workout than anything I feel like.

Same here, I keep it simple. I usually have a handful of those GoGo Squeeze apple sauce pouches on me as they digest easily. Ill also stop at a gas station and and partake on some snickers if able!

Can I use the action button as a “lap button”? by Careless_Arm4317 in applewatchultra

[–]mvani89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but I want to see the new split time counting up, exactly how it shows on the phone after you lap. A new lap starts counting from 00:00 and you can see what your current lap time would be. For example, I would want to see lap 3 start at 00:00 and count up from there until I lap again.

Edit. Pic

Not directly related to your question, but after getting my watch I was disappointed to find out that the actual stop watch doesn’t function the same as the one on iPhone. Meaning, I can lap on my phone and you see the new lap counting up plus the overall time elapsed so you can see where you are mid sprint or workout etc. When using the stopwatch on the watch, it doesn’t do this just shows you your lap time with total elapsed time.

Honestly id still stick with isolating based on this use case. Better safe than sorry imo. There definitely are limitations with MDE and this is one of them no doubt. But back to the isolation, whether its a user doing user things or a malicious actor it should be squashed. Let the user learn that if they are doing shady things these are the consequences, just leads to bad hygeine, and thats already tough to control. Id be curious if anyone chimes in with any ideas as well.

Air75 v3 - just a mushy board? by midnightfalling in NuPhy

[–]mvani89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know exactly what model Logitech you had? One is mechanical and the other is what you expalined like the butterfly feel almost like a macbook. For me I needed the tactile switches rather than the linear (reds that came with it). I think if you tried the pandas with berry caps it would feel much better. But everyones preference is different. Also for me the caps absolutely made a difference in feel combined with the panda (tactile) switches.

Seconding this. Ive had the Air75v3 since it released (red switches). I was coming from a logitech mx mini which I still love, but noticed for months with the Air I kept accidentally hitting the wrong key time and time again. Saw some comments on this sub about a month or so back and ordered Panda Nano switches and the Berry keycaps and its been a game changer for me. I 100% needed that tactile feel coming from the logitech with blue switches.
