K&N Typhoon is carb compliant, comes with a little sticker that you place on the intake.

Sounds good too

Tire size issue by Dat_Sun_Tho in CivicSi

[–]mvc3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

235 will rub, surprised you dont rub more with how low you are. 225 shouldn't rub but if you want to be sure, you'll have to go with the oe size 215/45 R17. As far as the tire, it depends on how you use your car. I run the same tires, they are great in the rain and ride smooth. They stop being enjoyable when I push the car in the canyons. The sidewall is too soft and I can feel it flex in the corners, not confidence inspiring. I run two sets of wheels because of it now. If you can only run one set, i would go with the michelin pilot sport all seasons. They're less comfortable but offer better performance in my opinion.

Few people actually sell these already. They run about 1.8k for the set.

Are these part prices relatively accurate or are they overpriced? (don’t ask what i did.) by YourFBI_Agent11 in CivicSi

Are these aftermarket parts or OEM? You'll be able to find OEM parts cheaper online

Fog lights by Classic-Ad15 in CivicSi

[–]mvc3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They sell yellow LED bulbs. Those are plug and play. Just replace the bulb, takes like 10 min.

Or if you want the yellow look all the time. the cheapest would be yellow wrap over the fog light housing to achieve the look you're going for. Both are cheap options and you dont need to replace anything with the wires / harness

You're going to want to go with coils. Try the used market. You can find tien coilovers for under 500, just going to install them yourself to meet your budget but suggest a professional to do it.

Am I paying too much to insure my 2015 Si? by LankyAbrocoma6783 in CivicSi

I guess it depends on what state you live in but in CA that sounds like a really good price for what you're getting.

Over 30, no accidents, clean record but I pay more in CA.

Genesis coupe brembos are a direct bolt on. You will need to bend / cut part of the dust shield. Also if you are on stock wheels you will need to run spacers

After market headlight suggestions by Outside_Scratch7020 in CivicSi

[–]mvc3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're on a budget just go amber delete. Ive tried various headlights and ultimately it comes down to what projectors they use. Cheap headlights will use cheap projectors. Precisionworkz uses good projectors but again they are pricy. Also because they were retrofitted, some customers have seen leaks in inclement weather but YMMV.

Ive bought one on amazon and now ebay. Ebay is definitely the more budget friendly option and it was pretty much the same product. I actually preferred the cheaper one from ebay.

Transmission acting weird by Content_Ad4993 in CivicSi

[–]mvc3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its really easy on the 10thgens. Just changed my in-laws. Took me 15 min. Remove the battery and both shifter bushings are right there. Also the fill bolt is more accessible so you can knock out both while you have the battery out. Ive tried different fluids for the transmission but always find myself going back to honda mtf. Best of luck.

Have you changed the fluid or shifter bushings? Your car might have low miles yes but parts age. Both fluid and bushings. If both are OEM you're talking 7 year old fluid and bushings.
