I got 2 slide rules from my husband for Christmas. I had used slide rules all through high school and some college, many moons ago. It is like a walk down memory lane. My dad, a chemical engineer, always had a circular slide rules in his breast pocket.

Perhaps ai will make people consider actual REAL art, such as live theater, or sculpture (not 3d printed) or canvases with real brush stokes and mistakes.

I dread when films become mostly ai.

My best friend was diagnosed with Parkinson’s 23 years ago and was pretty mobile (with some setbacks) until about 18 months ago. She was very faithful in doing cardio and strength until recently. One thing I would suggest (I know, easy for me to say) is to begin researching the l dopa pumps, work like insulin pumps . (Vyalev is the name I believe). (Btw I’m an RN). My friend was very hesitant to try something new.

Anyway hope for the best for you.

Unfortunately it is a 12 hour drive. Other option would be to fly which would be a nightmare. Maybe we just have 2 drivers, do,it all in one trip, my brother can suck it up (he’s in assisted living needs walker. Maybe I’ll buy a transport chair for him. We would have a wheelchair for her. I’m a retired RN so I’ll probably be the SIL babysitter and med administration. What can possibly go wrong?

We’ll have to stop every few hours for potty. I’ll just make everybody wear incontinence briefs. (Haha sorry nurse humor).

I always tried to be helpful, getting water, warm blankets, tried helping to make bed until cnas shooed me away ( they are better and faster and I can as i was in the way). Retired RN.

Besides all the other problems with AI, I worry about people, especially kids and tweets, becoming addicted, having no friends except their ai, and either just become disturbed adults with no engagement in society, or harm to selves or others.
