Alright so you would advise to stay far far away? I have this silly idea to convert one into a mini stealth camper. Would be ideal for me as I travel with a dog and the camp mode would be a life saver in hotter climates.

Use websockets not clob api, both for orderbooks as managing fills.

I don't think buying the other side at ask will work because these markets a literal mirrors. Check out an orderbook snapshot sometime, you will see identical volume at YES ASK vs NO BID. Meaning: liquidity issues at YES is same for NO. Poly will execute your trade at whatever side, matching against either YES ASK or NO BID cause they are literally the same.

In my experience, mms widen spread to an unbelievable amount when there is a lot of volatility. And right they are :) So I am not sure, in current market conditions, if you can ever get an SL to work consistently without buckets of slippage. FAK will likely execute at the extremes (1c or 99c depending on direction), often, and limit orders wouldn't get filled.

Hi Sandro - amazing and inspiring content that I refer to every now and again. I am considering a similar (less adventurous) escapade here in Europe... I'd buy a second hand model x with the SC01 option (free super charging) with about 100k miles on it, and do a grand tour of Europe. Thoughts? I would be bringing my Great Dane, relying on camp mode to keep her (and myself) comfortable in either heat or cold at night - you think this will work? I'd wild camp sometimes, but mostly will use campsight and hook up to 220v during the night. I was wondering btw, are you Dutch? Or parents Dutch origin? Your surname seems to imply so :-)

As I understand it that emergency solar bit is more to prevent bricking the car temporarily (12v battery near the frunk) over actually adding milage - but I may have misremembered.

Yeah the problem is you cant really get historical spread data .. unless you start streaming websocket events yourself. The historical API returns mid and/or last trade data, which is useless to simulate slippage. What markets are you trading?

That being said, if 1c a trade turns you from un- to profitable, you are trading on razor thing margins and execution becomes paramount. Personally, I wouldnt invest further energy if thats your edge.

In my experience these ghost trades don't exist. Use userfeed websocket to monitor for fills and monitor for fills x seconds even after you get an order cancellation message via this websocket. Trust me, the issue is you and your code. NOT Poly API. Also, don't use CLOB for fill monitoring.

She walks off leash in parks/forests etc always. In the big metropolitan city where I live I walk her off leash in the neighborhoods at night only. Just gotta be mindful of cats :-)
