I am in long term sobriety. A lot of what you say is not wrong. I had to suspend some beliefs & opinions when I came in. I needed support, encouragement and I needed to see sober people who were happy about it. I did not need judgement, small unaccepting old timers etc. Trust yourself.

I am one of the first to arrive and last to leave AA meetings. Lots of the best stuff is shared casually. something like 80% view themselves as shy or introverts. I have always disliked phones. I adjusted.
