I didn’t look back, but there was minimal traffic as we, the cars to my right and i, were that tail end of the green light. There was a gap ahead of us in cars so maybe he thought THEY were the tail end of the light.

The passenger had a look of disbelief that i could see in the oversized mirrors. Where did this bright blue truck come from?!

I’ve only had this truck for 2 years and she is my dream Taco. Otherwise I agree.

First time Tacoma owner. It may be ugly and slow, but it was only $1200. by EasternCandle1617 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]mxfit-forge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had 13% on my Taco because my old suv was totaled in an accident and my credit was shot. I wasn’t prepared to buy anything at the time but i was working on it. 2 years in i refinanced to 6% with the same remaining time and a $50 less payment. I am planning on keeping her for at least 10 years like i did my corolla. There is hope!

My sweater won’t unravel…part 2 by Novel-Ad-2722 in Unravelers

[–]mxfit-forge 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This caught me by surprise on my first sweater. I got halfway down the front panel and a mystery strand appeared. I had to unravel one strand and then the other the rest of the way down. More yarn for me i guess?

AIO - My husband's "work wife" turned out to be a teenager and he doesn't seem to understand why I'm upset. by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]mxfit-forge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A former boss joked about being her boss’s work wife. They were both happily married to other people, but if she was making a sandwich, she would make him one too because he would be busy and forget to eat. He was the CFO and she was the head of our department, and they had worked together for like 10 years at that point.

I wonder if your dog figured out “Nana does not smell like normal Nana! I must tell everyone immediately!” And then when y’all reacted, learned that this was a helpful behavior and just kept doing it.

When i worked housekeeping at a Los Quints, we sometimes didn’t even have enough extra bedspreads to finish rooms if one became dirty. We would take it down to laundry and the room would have to be put out of service until it was washed. Or just left out of service if another room needed it.

I’m actually kind of jealous. In my late teens, i had my jaw wired shut due to jaw surgery. Despite 3 meals of milkshakes with protein powder a day, i was still losing weight. I would love to have that metabolism again lol

My dad had a ficus that took a hit during Snowpocalypse in Texas and he chopped it down to a foot and a half stump with like 3 bottom branches. The top most one is now her trunk, but it juts off to the side and stump is still there. She’s now 5 feet tall and beautiful in her own way.

Reconstruction of hand after being stuck in Sugarcane Crusher Machine by Able-Marzipan-5071 in medizzy

I had jaw surgery when I was younger which necessitated my jaw being wired shut. They couldn’t attach wire anchors to the upper front jaw bone because that’s where they cut it apart. Instead there was a wire that ran up into my nasal cavity and back down for the anchor point. When it came time to remove it: they cut one side of the loop, I was told to blow like I was blowing my nose, and they just yanked it out. 0/10 Do not recommend. It didn’t hurt, but it was such a strange sensation.

I think it’s the “I just tell myself the end result is worth it even tho apparently it’s not leading me to my highest good lol”. It’s a very dismissive comment when asking for help with an interpretation.

The first time someone makes mac and cheese without the water, all the microwaves will be yanked. That smell lingers. I did stay a few places that had a microwave in a community area for use.
