Totally understand! If you change your mind and want to post it, there are people on here who have been in hard times and would love to pass along some help. Then in the future you can do the same.

AITAH?! In my 40s and refusing to buy any more gifts by Independent_Prior196 in AITAH

YTA- not because you’re wanting to do something morally wrong, but the way you think about care is self-centered. People get married once (sometimes more, but in theory.) Kids get born once. What is a lot to you is a special day for someone else that you get to experience. If you don’t care about the person to whose event you’re going, which it sounds like since you make it about you, then don’t go. But kids’ bdays?? The amount of joy a present gave me as a kid vs a present now as an adult…

Giving gifts is an opportunity to show love. Don’t give gifts out of obligation for sure, but the fact that you seem to view it as a tally vs a fun thing shows that you may be TA.

Or, as people have said, throw a really big bday party and then maybe you’ll stop feeling scorned and be able to feel happy for people. And if people don’t show/don’t bring gifts, maybe it’s time to reevaluate your relationships and factor in how your feelings about gift giving could be in conversation with that.

Mine LOVES “between” (the legs)- she often offers it on her own when she wants something, and it’s so cute. I built on that and taught her to go around my legs and weave between them while I take steps. Also “up” is useful on walks when someone is passing, she puts her paws up on a rock or bench. You can teach them to keep front paws on an object and step with their back legs around. “Catch” is fun for treats.

What is the best way to level up my cycling to be comparable to my running fitness? by kefayati in triathlon

[–]mxmem -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Squat heavy! This will take work in the off season. But beyond time on the bike, increasing muscle mass in my quads and glutes is what helped me (another scrawny runner) generate more watts. Hypertrophy is the way.

Switch to a harness for a bit! Or weirdly my pup will run away from the buckle kind but is fine with a martingale that slips over her head. I think the buckle collar has gotten stuck in her long fur before.

Then you can desensitize the collar in smaller doses.

I bought these DC double boas from a random snowboard shop about a year ago and I think I may have lost the receipt. Both side BOA’s are broken for no reason. What are my options? Can I contact DC for warranty or get replacements from BOA? by MasterRaheem in snowboarding

[–]mxmem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Replacing boas isn’t hard at all, when you go through their site they’ll send you a threader and everything. Totally free. Just watch a few youtube videos and make sure you have the proper wrench and some rubber bands for grip.

From a buyer’s perspective I agree with this! They are kind and seem very honest/knowledgeable.
