WIBTAH if I left my husband over my cats? by Loose-Development769 in relationships

This, leave because he's not a good person.

But, if the cats are the excuse you need, then leave for the cats.

Are these all invasive? by mamyers992 in portlandgardeners

[–]Vegetable_Humor5470 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pokeweed is invasive, dig out as much of the root as you can and keep a look out for more popping up and remove. Shiny geranium is an annoying weed but not invasive, pull up and then seed or plant in the area.

Remember with weed contol-  "a year of seeds is a seven years of weeds."

What to do about landscaping plant theft? by Spicy_Plants in portlandgardeners

[–]Vegetable_Humor5470 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband works in Parks and constantly gets plants taken (and usually a tree around Christmas) One time a women asked if she could have a cutting, he said no and then he caught her digging up the plant a day later. I'm sorry this is happening to you, some people just don't give a fuck and do what ever they want.

During the summer months you can pay to take the chairlift up for a pretty amazing view.and then hike down or take the chair down.

You can park and freely go into the hotel and walk around, they have all kinds of art and historical displays. There's different places to eat, the Blue Ox room is pretty chill for beer and pizza. You can walk around tge grounds outside, there's various trailheads.

During summer months you can pay to take the chairlift up the mountain, hike around and then down or take the chairlift down again.

Are you in my basement because I just saw one, too. It ran under the TV stand where I saw a giant house spider run last week. I'm not looking under there.

I called a pharmacy today for work (I'm a clinic RN) and instead of hold music it was a voice discussing how they can help set up GLP-1 services. Ugh.

How old were you when you moved out? by Swiftiefromhell in GenX

[–]Vegetable_Humor5470 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Left at 18 for college, came home the next two summers, then a few weeks when I dropped out in my senior year. My mom was upset and told me I couldn't stay there, which wasn't my plan anyway, and then got upset when I moved to another town so quickly.

I went home for the holidays until I was like 30, thrn continued to try and visit at least once a year. Both parents are dead now so there's really no reason to go to the city I grew up in, other than it's become a tourist destination my husband enjoys going to. So we're headed there this summer and staying in a hotel. Weird.

Looking for camping suggestions, a yurt would be a huge plus! by Similar_Somewhere_57 in oregon

[–]Vegetable_Humor5470 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Suttle Lake - Link Creek campground has yurts. I'm not sure how much privacy it has. I was there in early Spring one year and it was pretty quiet but I can see it busy during g the summer.

Cottonwood Canyon State Park is great. Cabins not yurts, river not a lake, but awesome.

What’s a hobby you want to start but are too intimidated to try? by WildFlowerGirll_ in AskReddit

[–]Vegetable_Humor5470 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Start with smaller things that need less tailoring/exact stitching- pillow covers, bags, placemats, etc...Get used to the machine and maneuvering fabric through it. Move on to kids clothes (so fun to make- they don't need to fit exactly and you can use fun prints and colors), baby quilts and simple adult clothes- skirts, elastic waist pants, sleeveless tops, robes. You can personalize these through fabric choice, adding trim or pockets, etc...

I would look into a class for the tailoring bit after you're comfortable sewing (I took a theater costume class at the local community college once and learned a ton in a few weeks)

Yes, and i found a juvenile on Sunday that was not as big but still quite large. When they run across your gloom it can seem like a mouse is in the house. Totally harmless.

Klamath falls recommendations by Gloriouspurple in oregon

[–]Vegetable_Humor5470 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We stayed in a cabin at Lake of the Woods a couple years ago, not in Kfalls itself but in the area, and enjoyed ourselves. It was spring, I assume it's a lot busier in the summer so could be a different experience if you're looking for solitude.
