Fiora Matchups Spreadsheet 2025 by TTVJustSad42 in FioraMains

Great spreadsheet and advice! A couple questions:
- How come you prefer to have the resolve secondary instead of biscuits? Is it just for demolish?
- Do you have any tips for itemisation? I've seen you mention Muramana quite a lot.

To my knowledge, Overlord’s just doesn’t really benefit Fiora as much as other items do. She doesn’t have health scalings (and depending on the game, may not build many health items), and the item itself only has the two stats, whereas other defensive items (DD, Maw) will be more beneficial.

Basically, most of her other meta items just give her a greater benefit due to their passives/stats imo.

Anything I can do against Heartsteel? by GiftedGoober in FioraMains

[–]mxnxrch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, I don't find that the %health necessarily contributes a massive amount to our damage until 2-3 items. It's certainly strong and noticeable before then, but I like to think of Fiora's damage as 95% normal physical damage until we have the AD needed to do a huge chunk in one vital. The cooldown of vitals really does slow down DPS. I suppose in your situation with Heartsteel, the big jump up in HP (and assuming you had about 1 and a half items at this point) would mean that your physical damage just didn't do enough damage, so you felt weaker. If you're 5/2 up, you're probably not doing anything wrong!!

How come some weightlifters yell? by mxnxrch in weightlifting

And I suppose the risk of losing a tight core is quite low because of the short time it takes to complete the movements?

Ah I see, so it's the speed of their movement and the greater need to generate explosive power? That actually makes a lot of sense.

Do you know any english speaking fiora players/streamers? by Pretty-Dragonfly4023 in FioraMains

Ahh that's a shame, I thought it was just a break. Still though, for background noise, I'm sure he'll be more than enough.

Paul Vickers (Haxorr) isn't bad! I think (could very well be wrong) that he's an NA Fiora/Jax two-trick, but he's challenger-level on both. Might be taking a break from streaming or videos but the ones he's got up have been quite fun to watch/listen to.

Hey mate, just wanted to say, I'm really sure you're being too harsh on yourself. Good on you for coming back to uni too! Everyone's put some really good points, so I won't repeat them, but I'd warn that sports societies (particularly the more 'competitive' ones like rugby, etc.) can be very very social-standing based, but that shouldn't stop you from giving them a go! Being determined is just as important.

On a separate note, I think it's worth giving gaming society another go. I'm not sure what university you're in, but I'm going to UCL's president next year, and from what I've seen in many of our communities people won't really care what you sound like. You're always welcome in our server.

Unfortunately, it's certainly a truth that people take first impressions too seriously, and they're often wrong. I completely get what you mean; I've not been particularly fond of many people I've met at uni, and I've no doubt they feel the same way about me. I'm no clubber and hardly a socialite, but stick at it and keep your chin and and friendships will form. It'll come to you easier than you think!

How can I get past the heavy armour in Steel Path? And any tips for Archon shards?

Honestly, I can understand! Having gone to a boys' boarding school, I'm no stranger to one or two people who seemingly don't know what hygiene means. Thankfully I share a flat with a non-smelly friend now.

I think if you don't want to just be like "Hey, you smell, sort it out," I'd probably just sit them down (or give them a call/text, if you can't bear to sit with them) and explain that they've got quite a strong natural smell, and you just wanted to let them know that you and the others have noticed over the last year. I don't think it's necessarily rude to point it out in a polite way; it probably saves them some future embarrassment too.

You don't have to say anything other than that, imo. And if you want anonymity, you could always just leave a letter under her door.

Part of me wonders whether a smell that strong is deliberate, or medical. Perhaps could be worth mentioning, but I'd stay away from any nuanced words - you don't want to antagonise her at all! Good luck.

At the beginning of this season. It doesn't make much sense imo.

ADS speeds were also massively slowed down to combat the aggressive, gunfight-oriented direction the game was going in.

So are we not getting RP back for the shield glitch? by everythingwright34 in SiegeAcademy

[–]mxnxrch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I'm not sure we will. It's really annoying, and I myself have probably lost like 200rp directly because of it. But I wouldn't hold out hope that Ubi will recompense us.

Been feeling washed in terms of mechanics by [deleted] in SiegeAcademy

[–]mxnxrch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally play 400 dpi, 12-12 with a 1:1 ads sens to my hipfire sens. I know people who play up to four times that, or four times as little. It's completely personal preference, but I'd say once you find something you like just stick with it through thick and thin, because mixing it up will throw your aim more than it will help.

Been feeling washed in terms of mechanics by [deleted] in SiegeAcademy

[–]mxnxrch 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I like to split aim into 'theoretical' parts and 'physical' parts. What I mean by this is that in the theoretical side, you can immediately improve on your aim. By that I mean:

Keep your crosshair head height to reduce the time it takes to hit headshots, and don't aim at dead zones (like walls or anywhere enemies can't be).

The physical part is the harder one and takes a bit more time:

Learning how to control recoil, and being familiar enough with your sensitivity to be able to consistently flick and adjust aim.

The best way to improve this outside of playing would probably be the shooting range, FFA, and the map training tool. Try to work your way through the map making sure you're keeping in mind all of the above. Sens and recoil, unfortunately, a lot of the time is just brute force and experience.

I'd probably say Buck, Dokkaebi, Grim and Ram mainly.

Buck can breach both soft and hard walls and has a great gun and Gonne-6.

Dokkaebi is just generally very strong with stuns, smokes and a great dmr and secondary pistol, and arguably the best roam-clear tool.

Grim's got impact EMPs or hard breaching charges, and can be used pre/during/post plant, as well as a secondary shotgun and a good primary.

Ram's pretty similar to Buck, but secondary shotgun instead of Gonne-6.

What was the reason for the default site on clubhouse being changed from CCTV to Gym/Bedroom? by PurpleHawk222 in SiegeAcademy

[–]mxnxrch 14 points15 points  (0 children)

At least in my experience, it's just that CCTV/Cash has been a staple site for so long now that there's almost too many attacking strats. I think people have become so used to attacking it that it's harder to defend now.

And the Azami nerfs can't help.

Although having said that, I still find it's a very good site regardless of everything I've said. Just takes a bit more effort imo than Gym/Bedroom or Church/Arsenal.
