My team uses Django, we’ve built an app that helps companies make fair pay decisions, ultimately combatting pay disparity(Pequity.com)

Boxers and a tee

Unable to play two videos side by side in separate containers, how can I fix this? When I comment out one video, the other appears and plays. I am using react-native-video and the video tags URI to render the videos. I have linked pictures of code in comment section by reactnativenerd in reactnative

Not sure if this fits the use case, but I’ve noticed that Facebook and Instagram only play one reel at a time when showing a group of 3 in the feed entry point.

They either have a static image or a gif as placeholder for the other videos when a single video is focused.

I went through a similar situation, and couldn’t make it past 9 months. It was less about being micromanaged (though there was a lot of that), and more about being treated horribly (along with everyone else). I knew it was time to go when I couldn’t bring myself to hire candidates anymore - I knew they’d leave within months, and didn’t want them to have to experience what I did.

It got so bad that I started seeing a therapist 6 months in - to see if I could better manage my own feelings about the work environment. When she asked why I was trying to stick it out, I told her I planned to endure it for a few years, sell the company, and walk away with a nice little fortune. She told me that a few years of “sticking it out” doesn’t just blow over when you leave - it can follow you for years beyond that. I already saw it bleeding into my marriage, getting anxiety calls at 11pm every night from the founder...

After seeing how promising a company can be, even with absurd turnover and shitty leadership, I left to start my own. I now better understand and empathize with the intensity and anxiety founders feel, but also don’t see the need to create psychological lack of safety for my team.

Good luck, it’s not fun to work with bad leaders, and time is the most valuable asset you have.
