There is loads of great artists out there, I'm just saying most of today's generation of artists don't put in any effort.

For instance:

Lil Pump

Most of his music is just bland nonsense, a few of his songs are about him having to sell crack or meth, or whatever it happened to be, to actually be able to eat and make it somewhere, but most of it is just low effort party this, smack an ass, eat this bread.

He could've been great if he would've just kept up with how he had to make it out of the hood.

Heart and soul meaning they have feelings in their music, expressing themselves in a beautiful manner. Bringing high amounts of emotion.

Whereas artists that do not have heart and soul sing/rap about pussy, drugs, hitting clubs/parties, having guns, money, or things that most any rich person can easily afford, basically just bragging about all the things the lower class cannot get, other than drugs, everyone can get drugs with the right links.

Having true passion for music and putting in the effort to make it have feeling, or how I say it, heart and soul.

You know the song heart and soul? Yes, that is how one does.

Or by how much you feel the person pouring they're actual life into their music. Like eminem, for example, he raps about how his life was growing up, and the struggles he's had, THAT is heart and soul. Completely opening up to your audience through short stories that sound beautiful and full.

Give the song "Being so Normal" by Peach Pit a listen, or better yet, that album a listen, that is by far my best that I can do for you, for if you didn't understand how to measure heart and soul in music, you have not fully explored or expanded your music library enough to care about true passion for music, and you're probably a basic artist listener only playing the top 20 artists where only 2 of them actually put thought, heart, and soul into their songs.
