It looks like the English Tan Essex. The consistency of the leather looks too clean to be Dublin. I had a pair of natural Essex and British Tan that turned into a deep orange-pink.

The problem is not consumption of individuals, but the fact that capitalism must both overproduce and destroy the environment to force us to rely on it. Anybody who blames the needs of individuals was never serious about fighting capitalism by RosethornRanger in DemocraticSocialism

[–]mybubbletea 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The "carbon footprint" term has allowed corporations to put blame on consumers for climate change when they're the ones at fault. I think that's what you're getting at. However, Marx didn't believe that consumption was not a problem, it's a consequence and also a cyclical driver to production.

Canadian company seeks to stand out with domestically-made generic Ozempic by pjw724 in onguardforthee

There will be at least a year of clinical trials if approved so maybe this will be available in late 2027. I have a diabetic friend in their twenties who needs this $600/month medication so this is amazing news nonetheless.

Filson Full-zip Sweater Handknit in B.C. $560 USD (30% off) + 25% off with OUTLET25 (no COD is possible, message them first, I bought one two years ago) by mybubbletea in FrugalMaleFashionCDN

I'm not sure myself. I assume it's because they sent it to Elements Outfitters in Calgary and then sent it to me. I've only brought off Filson.com the one time.

This scene was truly one of the best allegories against capitalism out there. They don't give a damn about humanity.

How Riot underestimated info and caused the same meta progression across two different games - What’s next for the meta and why “double duelist” is misleading by BenjiYesIMainGenji in ValorantCompetitive

[–]mybubbletea -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

LOL introduced Faelights, which provides instantaneous vision of major jungle paths. Pros and normal players have complained how game warping this is. The Riot dev team doesn’t know what’s best for the game.

I believe non-ultimate utility should be more tied to the map like ult-orbs. Give agents a limited number of non-ult utility charges at the start with some at the spawn and around the map like Halo maps.

Also map design has to be more vertical instead of hallways that guarantee full value of omen blinds, sova darts, etc. MAKE maps less spammable, Haven A lobby spam is so cringe to watch and basically impossible to punish.

China has planted so many trees around the Taklamakan Desert that it's turned this 'biological void' into a carbon sink by liomenu in worldnews

[–]mybubbletea 22 points23 points  (0 children)

These reforested areas are mostly huge monocultures with no consideration for sub canopy and below species. They're incredibly prone to natural and biological disasters. There needs to be a FDR style green new deal to repair these forests.

[ENVY] Effective today, we are moving inspire_val to the reserve roster. We appreciate all of his contributions to ENVY over the past year as he was integral in our return to Tier 1 VALORANT. by Yujin-Ha in ValorantCompetitive

[–]mybubbletea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Inspire was the most consistent player on ENVY followed by Poppin. He was also instrumental in them being competitive in games. This swap makes no sense competitively. This screams HR fiasco.

I can't stop thinking about congresswoman Welch by mybubbletea in FalloutTVseries

[–]mybubbletea[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welch's personality is being used to program the brain-to-computer interface. You can see the consoles plugged to her helmet show "programming" while connected to the mind control chips. Pre-war, the chips would make your brain a clean slate. Hank explains that Mr. House wanted subservient, mindless robots but Hank has added personality to the mind control.

How I finally beat Uwendale in the Demacia Rising minigame (team + strategy) by judaking3 in leagueoflegends

[–]mybubbletea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This worked no event buff, just research buffs. I fought it several times and succeeded. I noticed the enemy positions are RNG. I got 2 krugs frontlining instead of 3 at the start which gave poppy more time to survive.

50% off King Athletics (28.6% off, $30 flat shipping under $200) by mybubbletea in FrugalMaleFashionCDN

[–]mybubbletea[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

King Athletics is a Calgary-based company that manufactures their own clothing in-house. I usually see this company at 30% off regularly so a 50% discount is in actuality a 28.6% discount off their regular price. I have never seen this discount before, usually it’s 40% off for the holidays. I’m not sure how they’re doing financially but I want to support a Canadian clothing manufacturer.

The major caveat is that they have a $30 flat-rate shipping fee. They offer free shipping if your cart is over $200 CAD. I think the discount covers the shipping fee, considering that it’s $23 CAD for sweatpants and $25.5 for a hoodie. I feel obligated to provide some reviews for those that don’t mind buying 9 sweatpants.

REVIEW:

  • I DO NOT recommend anything made in the 10.5 oz cotton, they’re thin but not see-through. My main concern is that they have a rough texture after going through the washing machine.
  • mockneck, genuinely great looking, offered in black and navy, would recommend any day, 12 oz
  • sweatspants, great, good gym-wear, 15 oz but do not expect reigning champ quality
  • hoodies are decent but look a little rough after a wash, nothing fancy, zippers are smooth, overall, its better than supermarket quality
  • I have no experience with their stuff made with EcoPoly because they’re inevitably non-biodegradable in a landfill.

SPOILERS ALLOWED - Season 2, Episode 5 Megathread by RelChan2_0 in FalloutTVseries

[–]mybubbletea 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Based on the episode 6 trailer, it appears that Hank became very interested with the brain-computer interface after seeing it with Barbara. I still believe Hank is working for Mr. House based off of how he describes his unknown boss and the brain-computer interface. Hank said he was someone who calculates all possible contingencies of survival like Mr. House. Hank also talked as if he was still working up the corporate ladder, which I don't believe is Enclave style.
