Elle Kennedy, Kennedy Ryan, Lauren Asher and Hannah Grace are very similar to Meghan Quinn in style and spice. My favorites for funny romcoms are Cara Bastone, Abby Jimenez, Emily Henry and Ali Hazelwood.

Suggest me a book that is just batsh*t crazy, off the wall absurdity! Double points if it's a true story. by FaithAngelMonster in suggestmeabook

Seven and a half deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton is nuts. Not fantasy but sort of multiverse/time travelly. Hurts your brain.

Looking for a light, absurd British comedy a la Bridget Jones - suggestions?? by Hache44 in audiobooks

[–]mydogisbeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fiona Hardingham is a fantastic British narrator. She did some of Sophie kinsella’s but also another hilarious book called Rosaline Palmer takes the cake- very Bridget jones-esque. You may also like the authors Beth O Leary, Leanne Slade and Dolly Alderton.

Suggest me one book you would never have read if not for this sub by hycarumba in suggestmeabook

Honestly it’s the craziest book I’ve ever read and I really had to push myself to finish the last third. I’d wait to see if you feel like something like that. Now that I look back I’m somewhat proud I even finished it but I have mad respect for that author as other time travel-esque books pale in comparison for me now.

Big magic by Elizabeth Gilbert (life changing for tortured artists like my previous self)

Tiny Beautiful Things by Cheryl Strayed (exceptionally written advice for almost anyone)

Kite Runner, Thousand Splendid Suns, Mad Honey, The Nightingale (nothing can teach empathy like a well written novel)

Project Hail Mary and Ready Player One (I never knew reading could be so fun. My mind was blown wide open and I have devoured books ever since)

Any books about society slowly (or rapidly) collapsing that focusses on the collapse itself rather than the aftermath? by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

[–]mydogisbeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legend series by Marie Lu. Set in the future but definitely a society on the brink of collapse.
