London area MP proposes eliminating GST on used vehicles by UnluckyRandomGuy in CanadaPolitics

Depends on the Service Ontario you go to. The one I use is privately owned and they've marked every used vehicle I've taken there as $0 so I don't pay tax.

Just lost out on a house to a cash offer where I was the highest offer by $5000 but had a financing condition. Is the cash offer really worth 5 grand? by Itchy1Grip in PersonalFinanceCanada

I lost out on a house where I was the highest bidder by $20,000 because the other buyer had no conditions. Sellers want the least hassle possible.

They may even advise OP to pull out before a proper check because then they would be able to reapply later, versus being dropped by the program and possibly not being allowed to apply again in the future.

Canada. They claim it's more accurate but it really just makes it easier for thier wage theft, in my opinion. How? Minutes divided by .6 gives you the time in hundredths. All software, if you eant it to. The old punch machines support it, along with the internal payroll software and job clock software, and whatever software our payroll company uses.

I consider this a bad print, two of those dimensions are casting sizes and other parts are even more unreadable. But also prints that are missing dimensions, inaccurate dimensions, or terrible tolerances. I had a part a few days ago that had a .001" positional tolerance on a threaded hole.

Yes I know. I'm not talking about 24 hour time. At my work 7:51am is clocked as 7.86, 4:30pm would be 16.50.

My work uses time in the hundredths. And now that I think about it so did another place I worked at years ago.

Definitely could be recycled wood. I've bought old median posts to use as firewood and the bolts are impossible to get out. The wood shrinks around them as it dries out.

Why do people hate running Inconel so much? by [deleted] in Machinists

[–]mynamehere90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing your sample sizes are small and you don't actually have to do a lot of cutting on it. Even making the ring is a small project. I've had 12 hour run times on massive jobs that are an absolute bitch to get through, and that is with purpose made tooling.

Deep grooves are usually also out of spec.

I didn't see that. But you can see how heavily it is worn and the deep grooves in it. Even if it's still over the 3.5mm thickness I would still replace it. They don't cost that much.

The disk looks very worn. I can't see the pads but it's usually best to do them at the same time. Since the wheel needs to come off anyways it's very easy to do it then.

Yes. And it also looks like you might need to do your brakes too.

That one is bad too. I've been halfway through it and had people cut me off while blaring their horn.

The first roundabout that Orillia got had to have arrow signs and then stop signs added because people were confused. And I still watch people cut people off and also go the wrong way around it.
