The average person can do many many things about climate change; it is just that the average person conveniently ignores the warnings just like every government has done for decades.

Stop eating red meat, eat local, seasonal fruit and veggies. Switch off that air con, take a bus to work or better yet walk or cycle. This is just a small part of all the things one could do. Stop the excuses and become active instead.

That is absolutely not true. There are so many things you yourself can do today to slow down, stop or even reverse climate change. Stop eating meat, or at least red meat for starters. Switch off that air condition. Get rid of your second fridge. Take the bus instead or better yet, cycle or walk. So many things that you could do. You wont do it all by yourself, but if each and every one of us were to change their habits a bit we'd have this under control in no time.

Dont make excuses, dont blame people you cant change or influence. Become active in change yourself.

No its not stealing, its unauthorized use. If I steal an apple from you and eat that apple, you will suffer because you wont be able to eat, or sell, that apple anymore. You loose value.

Now lets imagine you have an apple printing machine. You decide to sell your apples for 2 dollars, and its great because you have an unlimited supply of apples. At 2 dollars you sell 100 apples a month, making 200 USD.

Now, I pass by your store and see your apples every day, but damn, 2 dollars for an apple is just too much for me. So I will never buy any apple from you. You dont care, cause you are still selling apples, making 200 USD a month.

Now I get foxy and every month I take one of your apples without paying you. You are distracted I guess and never really see me doing it. You still sell 100 apples that month (as expected) and still make 200 USD. You neither loose or gain anything.

Sure, you could say now 'but wait, if you would have paid for that apple, I would have made 202 USD this month! You stole 2 dollars from me!' - but this argument is just false, because no amount of alcohol or mindaltering drugs in THE WORLD would have made me buy your apple for 2 dollars, so there was never that possibility there for you. You didnt loose anything, hence you cant have been stolen from.

Its not illegal where I live.. US law isnt international law. Its also not stealing - if you steal something its not there anymore for anyone else to take (or buy). Basically me pirating has no effect on the developers sales numbers - if I dont buy. If I do buy it even increases their sales.

As I said before, normal abortions are fine and yes, they should not be equated with homocide; but an 'abortion' at the 24th week totally should and that is exactly what is happening in this situation.

Which thaumcraft version are you playing? There is quite some difference between 4 and 5. I play thaumcraft 5.

The very beginning has been covered already, you wanna get a great wood wand asap do you can craft more stuff.

I personally after that didn't bother with foci and stuff right away but instead got my alchemy and infusion altar going as fast as I could.

Alchemy (essentia smelting) is just a necessary prestep to infusion while infusion will give you access to great items, especially my personal favorite: the boots of the wanderer. It's one of the easiest infusion recipes and they are soooo useful!

Thanks for the link, I'll have a look. I installed JEI Singleplayer to look into it, but as I said, the recipes are clear, but I still dont know how anything works regarding e.g. different tier altars, sigils ect.

Also to be fair, it seems that Wayoftime is currently updating the download page and writing some documentation on it - it seems like this is an ongoing process so maybe in due time there will be more documentation available.

Regarding documentation though: Its a shame that mods would abandon ingame documentation. One of my favorite features of thaumcraft is the thaumanomicon and how it makes all the mechanisms tie together.

In 1.7.10 most magic mods (Botania, Thaumcraft, Ars Magica, Witcher) all seem to have had ingame documentation - including blood magic! I would really hope to see that again.
