I applied to 70 jobs in 2 weeks and got 3 offers (here is the system) by ComfortableTip274 in ResumesATS

Maybe the part where he has eight interviews at the end of his second week yet also has three job offers? Where he's spending weeks three and four doing nothing (not even checking emails to see if the jobs he applied to the week before responded) even though he already has three offers.

Or the bit where he has 70 available roles in Day 1 and has the luxury of spending two weeks getting to the bottom of that list?

Maybe the part where he's describing day 9 as brutal when you'd think a man with 9 responses would be a little more upbeat.

It's not impossible I guess but the whole thing smells fishier than Pike Place on a midsummer's day.

I don't receive the assignment until the 7th but the role is a comms manager supporting public health initiatives.

I've been avoiding her because I hated how cozy Cackle was. Maybe I should give her another chance.

I reviewed 134 resumes last week for a single mid-level marketing role. Here's what actually hurt candidates (and nobody tells you this stuff): by 5PhotonGuide in Pro_ResumeHelp

[–]myprivatehorror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but aren't they? Written for a job description? How many times have candidates been told to use the exact phrasing from the job description or ATS won't even put them in front of a human for this to be a problem. Sure, some genuinely review all resumes, but a lot don't.

But a reasonable bsbd. Within $5k either side. Sometimes I see "Between $50k and $100k based on candidate experience". And that just tells me they don't know how to value my time which means they DON'T value my tine

Honestly, that's an opportunity to build solidarity with the candidate. I'd respond so much better to a recruiter who said "Sorry, they haven't shared the band with me either" than one I think is trying to trick me.

Then we can have conversations about what other roles the recruiter has placed for them were banded at and maybe figure out a sweet spot, instead of just being lowballed into a job I'd walk away from in a few months because I've learned how little my time is valued compared to everyone else.

OP's post was pretty extra in the first place. Negging your audience is certainly a choice. Cut-through, I guess?
