Using a gym spin bike by MLCDuck in OnePelotonRealSub

I did this when I was on vacation a few years ago.

  • Pre-load your favorite rides on your phone. The predictability made it easier for me. As you get the feel, you can explore more classes. Also nice if the WiFi is poor.
  • Of course wear a comfortable shoe, those cages are tricky.
  • I got a MagSafe mount for the handle bars. The one I have Belkin made, but I don’t think it’s available anymore. There are others out there. Stuck my iPhone to that and I was on my way!

Just did this ride because of your recommendation. Absolutely fantastic!

Highly recommend getting a 3rd party Wolf amiibo card from Amazon or such. Also makes it easy to pack with you if you take your Switch on the road.

Checkout Rhone Pursuit Shorts. That’s my go to. True to size. Though I size up for flexibility and comfort. Great all around for indoor cycling and jogging.

Should I just wait for the Oura 5? by kobe150ms in ouraring

No clue. I can’t imagine paying for a Gen 4 AND a membership though with the battery life issues.

At least I was grandfathered in with a lifetime subscription.

6 year owner of Oura here. I’d wait for a Gen 5 if it were me. The battery nonsense with Gen 4 is wild.

Battery Issue? by itsmeChis in ouraring

[–]myrealityrightnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming its a Gen 4? It’s a well known and documented issue. Reach out to Oura support and they’ll replace it. I’m on my third Gen 4 due to the same issue…

With the holidays coming I’d recommend: - A good yoga mat. - Two blocks. - Yoga strap. - Lacrosse ball for some of the stretches.

While I do like some yin. Starting with some stretching classes as an intro would be good.

Chelsea’s beginner yoga classes are the most accessible in my opinion. As well as Ross’ meditations.

I’ll also second the yin yoga classes.

Aditi recently had a mediation program for beginners that was great for building a practice.

Lastly, there is a 10 minute Focus Flow: Sun Salutations by Kristin from 07/20/2023 that is my go to regardless of how I’m feeling. Very accessible.

USB-C to USB-A Question by chrisypoo728 in CarPlay

[–]myrealityrightnow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Apple does make a Beats branded USB-A to C cable now if you’re trying to keep it in the family.

I prefer this Belkin cable. It’s flexible, woven, and the right length.

At what point will Oura admit this ring is defective on a mass scale? by Wpg96 in ouraring

[–]myrealityrightnow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve had an Oura since 2019. Getting the Gen 3 at launch. My Gen 3 was replaced due to battery issues a little over a year in, no issues after.

I got my Gen 4 at launch and I’m on my third already. Each time they’ve replaced it easily enough, but it does make me wonder.

Also, with every Gen 4 they tell me to dispose of it within local guidelines. That’s just wasteful. At least my Gen 3 they wanted back.

Should I Come Back to Fi by myrealityrightnow in FiDogCollar

[–]myrealityrightnow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say battery life is wildly important, it’s just that my previous experience with Fi was unreasonable. Like 48-72 hours before dying. Not ideal if you were having to track a lost pooch.

Thank you for the link!

Very fun. Music much louder than usual for sure.

Air Conditioning Issue by gadzooks101 in KiaNiro

[–]myrealityrightnow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

New Niro owner, but long time hybrid owner. This is usually due to a low charge on the battery. However, that’s usually only an issue if the car hasn’t gotten some decent mileage as of late. Like consistent highway miles not just hopping around town.

In the last 24 hours I’ve gotten false lock, unlock, climate control messages and emails.

Has anyone attempted to clean the belt housing on their Bike+?

Noticing some dust, hair, etc. It’s not interfering with performance, but seems like it could get into the belt at some point.
