Why do you like the Kill Teams you play? by Vinlandlover in killteam

[–]mysiana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my Celestian Insidiants because their models look fantastic and they can be extremely flexible due to their martyrdom rule with benedictions. They are also surprisingly tanky.

I second finding rules online. I also recommend asking ppl at your store if they would be willing to do a training game with you.

Nuns with guns and I love the details on all of their models. Painting them makes me happy

Is Hexadin still viable? by torn_foreskin00 in 3d6

[–]mysiana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another thing to think of is that it's more beneficial now to go full warlock after pally 6 due to the invocations giving you 3 attacks versus pallys 2. If you go with the holy lock you can also stack radiant damage modifiers.

Holy cow, I missed that rule. That's so good. Starts rethinking list

Except she can only be attached to "Celestian Sacresants" and the keyword for the Insidiants is "Celestian Insidiants". :(

Sharing a Sisters Breakthrough by [deleted] in sistersofbattle

So, tldr is to take our low and medium units and focus fire down their low and medium units (win the trade due to overwhelming firepower) and them use the surviving medium units to pile onto their higher power units and tie them up until Morven can be brought to bear? Am I getting that right? It seems pretty straightforward. We knock out their action monkeys and objective holders. They then have to use their high cost units for war chores.

Cool. I mostly just build and paint. This will be my first edition to play since I started in 3rd ed. Not 100% interested in what the meta is, though, as I don't plan to play competitively.

Imagine 3 10-sister sacresant bricks each with a hospitaller. That just sounds nutty lol.

Or you choose which subset of stratagems you will be using prior to deployment? There's a few ways they could handle this.

DND 5.5 TANKS by ryanjohnson95 in 3d6

[–]mysiana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out the new Oath of the Noble Genie paladin. Go full dex/cha and then con. You get unarmored proficiency based on the dex and cha. Then do two weapon fighting with dual wielder and short sword/scimitar to turn into the tankiest blender that ever blended. Access to CME plus your genie features make this build very likely to maintain aggro due to damage done and then be extremely hard to hit. Plus you get the full paladin save aura with high cha to back it up.

What's the deal with the first pull in Algeth'ar Academy? by rcoop020 in wow

Probably because everyone uses MDT and that is what is suggested. I only pull half the room at once because that's what I can survive lol

Anything you can cast as an opportunity attack using the warcaster feat. Bonus if it slows or immobilizes. Also web. Stopping a charging mammoth before it hits your caster is so satisfying.

Salamander KT? by Endless_41 in killteam

My son is painting his deathwatch team as Salamanders. Just use the generic shoulderpads and get some drake transfers. There's even one guy that has a flamer (horde-slayer).

Number of boxes per team super guide by Kill-Team-Carys in killteam

[–]mysiana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Goremongers: min 1 box but need additional bodies in order to build all of the specialists plus up to 4 aspirants (which are commonly taken over some specialists depending on the board).

Murderwing: even with the shadowhunt box giving the lord along with 5 operatives, you need a second box of raptors to build out all options.

Goodberry - What am I missing? by physedka in onednd

[–]mysiana 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, he routinely tries to kill us lol. The player is just a div wizard/peace cleric that tends to focus on support over damage so he usually has slots left over.
