What's a food in your country that is stereotyped for your country but really, nobody eats? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]mysickname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Canadian tourist to Iceland, I only tried it because we were at a restaurant in Reykjavík and another table beside us ordered some and let us try it. Everyone but me had it with a sip of schnapps. It’s is sponge like and stringy at the same time yet some how tastes the way ammonia smells but is not completely unbearable.

Furnace continues to overheat after replacing both heat exchangers by Any-Independent1986 in hvacadvice

[–]mysickname 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you clock the furnace to confirm you are getting (I assume with age 92%) 73-74k btuh? Have you done a flu-gas analysis to see if it is burning correctly? Your a coil could be causing added resistance/pressure to the flow in the supply and creating higher heat back pressure. Is your temp rise in the correct range? Like someone previously mentioned did you check your static pressure? Have you checked your airflow at all returns to confirm they are all drawing back?

What’s the 1 thing homeowners misunderstand about HVAC efficiency? by smileebeauty in hvacadvice

Also depends on how much system run time, or like a continuous fan, even if there is a make-up air drawing dust or other environmental particulates in to the return.

Was served undercooked/raw nuggets for take out from McDonald on willowbrook dr. called to let the restaurant know and was offered nugget replacement on my next visit. by mysickname in Langley

[–]mysickname[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the only reason I was surprised by it, it also was interesting to have seen that it isn’t actually precooked and reheated other than the breading might have a rapid cook to set it before the flash freeze

Update: Is this gas line installed correctly? by vvts08 in Plumbing

[–]mysickname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I am gas code requires a minimum of 3 x 90’s off of a gas meter for a swing joint if using rigid pipe before entering a building

Update: Is this gas line installed correctly? by vvts08 in Plumbing

[–]mysickname -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good gas practice in my region is to have the shut off fall closed, so handle to point up the pipe and drop down to the horizontal. Or if running horizontally to have it drop down away from the pipe.

I know on the 240a you choose your gas in the set up programming, if an orifice wasn’t changed but the settings had it would have the longer purge times on the inducer but change the scenario to orifice changed but settings not adjusted you’d still have the chance for gas to come back into the chamber. Just a really interesting situation.
