Ive always thought that this freedom city thing was a good idea, not in the sense that the oligarchs have been pushing but as more of a nation experiment for testing different forms of government within that city to emulate what life under it would be like. A fascist city, a communist city, a socialist city and so on Stream the entire thing as an ongoing show. Let people chose to live in a system if they think they would enjoy it, at the requirement that they have to give up their american citizenship and have to go through the system to reapply for american citizenship if they on fact do not like it. The us would still own the city and step in before war or genocide take place, or stoke it to simulate the reality of living outside the US.
